At the moment, the only online retailer I've bought Transformers from is Amazon, so I don't have an opinion on these two. I've heard they're both good, it just depends on what you're buying.
Living in Europe, I've used them both, and both are good and dependable. Safe packaging too. BBTS has the Pile of Loot, of course, which makes it easy to save on combined shipping by delaying shipping of your bought (and paid) products. I guess if you are living in the US, BBTS will offer cheaper shipping, while the products might be slightly more expensive that RK; for RK this will be the other way around (cheaper products, more expensive shipping). I've heard some stories about Robotkingdom's customer service, which can be hard to get a hold of, but those stories have become pretty rare in recent months.
They are both good suppliers. I prefer RK, with them I seldom get customs charges on the stuff I import.
thanks guy, the shipping cost + product from where Im at (in the US) is cheaper with BBTS, so Im leaning toward them. I love to hear any more opinions.
Robot Kingdom if im ordering enough gear in one hit, if its just a stray piece or a random pre-order then BBTS pile of loot.
If you're in the US, it's probably usually easier to just to go BBTS...unless they're heavily padding the price. They're also better about answering email....although after the drawn out thing with later Generations cases, there is some doubt about how they go about filling orders. If you're outside the U.S, RK sometimes forget to declare the full amount. BBTS on the other hand won't. Full stop.
yeah RK does list their stuff a little bit cheaper but thats cuz shipping from HK kinda makes up the difference ive only bought off RK a couple times and almost forgot about that thinking i found some kind of a steal xD whoops, almost forgot shipping! BBTS is preferable for me cuz im in the states but i wont hesitate to use RK if they have something the other guys dont [which happened here recently. nobody had the corbot war axe but RK did! so i happily bought from them ^__^]
While I have not bought any Transformers from neither BBTS or anything for that matter recently, I would go with BBTS either way. Their shipping and packaging is always a plus for me. Never have I received anything such as a dent on a box or damage on a figure.
They both are great. Sometimes you can order 1 "big ticket" item from Robot Kingdom, and get it cheaper even with the increased shipping, and about 99% of the time you'll get it faster. an example of this is Exgraver, it was cheaper shipped from RK via EMS than BBTS had it listed as before shipping. Also if you're ordering in bulk, or doing group orders of 4 items or more, you'll save with RK.
I've only ordered from BBTS and have had nothing but good experiences. The PoL is definitely a plus and it's because of this I try to order everything I can from them and not someone else/ebay.
I have used BBTS much more than anywhere else, but I have never had any problems ordering from RK or TFsource either. POL is a definite plus
