Mr. Roberto Orci continues to talk about Transformers: Prime at the Don Murphy Message Board. He revealed some minor tidbits today. They maybe minor, but the information is promising a wonderful TV Cartoon for the Transformers Fans.

    Mr. Orci said...
"On Transformers: Prime, we managed to partner with an amazing writer named Jeff Kline. You can look up his lifetime of credits on IMDB. He really knows animation and he lead the way in hiring a talented group of writers to get the show off the ground.

TV is different than movies in that you need and want a whole staff of writers."

Jeff Kline is the name behind some of the most successful TV Cartoon Shows in the past. Jumanji, Men in Black: The Series, Extreme Ghostbusters and DragonTales are some of the cartoons he worked on.

Ok. So far I'm more excited for the people doing the animation and the voice actors and less for the writers.

The series that he is been involved lately are too kid series, too pure. I hope he is not too into that because Transformers is not that childish. The Other series well MIB, Jumanji and Extreme Ghostbusters are OK full of holes the series felt like they need something more and not a waste of 23min. Hope he can come up with something deserving the name of "Prime".

Do I think he can do it again? I wasn't aware he did it before? None of the cartoons listed were overly remarkable, some didn't last past a single season. They were passible attempts at animated versions of the franchises he was trying to represent, but none of them really had any thunder.

I will say Jackie Chan Adventures could be entertaining every now and again, but on the whole these shows were average at best.

I'm bracing for what I feel will eventually come, whether it's this cartoon or not who knows. That is the goofy, more cute and funny type of kiddy cartoon to come out. Hasbro has always been trying to cut in on younger markets with the cartoons, though things never seem to work out that way.

For an example, I'm talking something similar to SD Gundam vs. a regular Gundam show. I'm sure some found it amusing though.

Dragon Tales is such shit. And not just cause its designed for preschool. That's no excuse to make crap. Quality is quality.
For example, Backyardigans is a quality preschool show that I enjoyed watching with my kids. It's smart with great songs and does not speak down to kids but activates their imagination. By comparison, Dragon Tales is such crap (like Dora The Explorer or Barney - crap and horrible.

I hope this doesn't speak for the quality of TF:p rime, but if I would never list Dragon Tales as a credit. Painful to sit through.

Personally, I don't consider Dragon Tails or Jumanji to be great successes. Pls, this is news from Orci so I know that a lot has to be taken with a grain of salt.

As with anything else, it just comes down to waiting and seeing.

I did hear from a source working on the show that the TF's faces are completely organic.

Let me get this straight, his claim to being a writer is made up of past failures like jumanji, MIB and Extream GB. Just goes to show that Orci and kurtzman, are just as moronic as Bay.
I have a 2 year old, and even she cant sit through an episode of dragontales.

In dragon tales defense, I dont think any 2yr old can sit through much at all unless they're in a high chair, play pen or crib or some other restraining device. lol. but I see you other points

Wow, y'all really can just summon up a hate-on for anything.

They get the guy responsible for the best movie cartoons in the biz, and you choose to say "he made a kids show thats so gay"

It's Spongebob as Starscream all over again.

They were boring, slow paced pieces of garbage. Best movie based cartoon was Real Ghostbusters, maybe your confusing them.
