I remember reading A LOT of negative comments about his art on that book, I'm surprised IDW is using him.

I haven't seen his work since Micromasters. Artists can and do improve over time. I'll wait until I see some of his work on this issue to make any judgements.

My first thought was "Oh dear...", but hopefully he has improved and isn't trying to emulate Pat Lee so much anymore.

His work on Micromasters was like...someone trying to do the Pat Lee style, only with 3 extra injections of Liefeld.

But yeah, maybe he's left that behind. Myself, I'm going to be wary until I see the art.

I'm with Joe. I have to approach this with trepidation given his past work on Micromasters and the RID story in the Summer Special, but there are other factors at work too. Artists theoretically improve over time and that stuff was a couple of years ago, so maybe he's better now. Plus, he shouldn't be under pressure to emulate Superstar's style, and can put more of his own spin on things.

Actually being paid for his work this time can only help.

Guido has only been doing covers though. slow or not, they need to put that man on a book. and a one-shot would be perfect.

Dude they have put him on a book, Transformers Evolutions: Hearts of Steel.
Issues #1,2 are out already and he's probably finishing issue #4 right now ;)

Rob's work on Micromasters was the most horrid my eyes have seen. I agree they should let Guido pencil a book. I'm sure he doesn't mind doing the covers though.

    What a nightmare.

I will give it a pass, unless the preview pages really change my mind.
