My review: Needs more Betty White, and less of most others.

    Also, yes. The Shat rules.

Better than the last one. I'd say that the Anderson one was blatantly horrible.

    It was awsome!

George Takei was great. Betty White is still fantastic. Shatner was also kickass when he took the mic. In true Shatner fashion, he made fun of himself before turning on everyone else. There were many great moments throughout the whole show.

The only thing that really anoyed me was that they cut out lots of stuff just so you'd have to go to their website to watch it.

It would be cool if they roasted William Shatner for real - like on a spit over fire, then when people ate him they would gain his Shatner powers!

They should have showed "Rocket Man" in full. It's glorious.

Nimoy, Betty White and Shatner himself were all hilarious, but the rest was garbage, IMO. It was less a roast of Shatner than 1.75 hours of "hey everyone, George Takai and Andy Dick are gay!". One or two jokes about that wouldn't have been bad, but it seemed like every third comment was some gay joke about George Takai and/or Andy Dick. And someone needs to tell the roasters that they should focus more on the person who is actually there to be roasted and less on each other. While "No Name Comedians Insulting Each Other" might be an interesting show, it didn't make a very entertaining roast. I'm tempted to watch it on Secret Stash to catch the full, unedited set (in the hopes of Shatner doing some additional funny stuff or extended Shatner music videos) but it would probably just be more gay jokes.

My DVR cut off before Shat got to fire back. I'm hoping that the next airing won't cut me off, especially since I've got it set to record for 30 minutes after it "ends".

Agreed, that was my impression as well. It's acceptable on occasion, but when I feel like Shatner got off EASY on his own roast?? Not so good.

The Dennis Leary roast was better than this, wasn't it...? I seem to remember more roasting of Leary and less of everyone else...like, I was SURPRISED when they started making fun of Keifer Sutherland, and whoever else accompanied Leary.

It seems that most of the Comedy Central televised roasts have had that whole "instead of roasting this one guy let's make fun of every single other person here" thing going on. They've had a knack for being lame as hell too, so I'm not even interested in watching.

It was a good roast. Artie Lange had the best set of the night. Sadly they edited it down from the 8 1/2 minutes it was down to 3-4 minutes. They played the full set on Howard Stern the other day. Hysterical.

Betty White was fantastic too, and George Takai was hysterical. (whoever wrote his material did a great job.) You could tell Takai's "Fuck you and the horse you rode in on!" line was sincere. He, along with most of the original cast hate Shatner's guts.

That's how Roast's are. One always hits all the folks on the Dais (sp?)

TakEi! Very amusing part of the show. :)

Also, although his skit was extraordinarily Star Trek oriented, Andy Dick needs to vanish back into obscurity. Or get assassinated. Either is fine.
