    WIP Roadbuster

Sorry this is me first post so dont know quite what to say. This is the first custom ive done, and finally gotten the stuff to finish it. Ive had this dude sittin round with his head for a while now, and finally got an airbrush (hobby stores are not that common in vegas). Im gonna start paintin him soon, and was just wondering if anybody can tell me how you should go about it with the lacquers and washes and gloss coats and all that. Ive got acrylic paint and thinner, but after I get done wit those do I do a wash over it, lacquer it, or gloss it? Or all three. Any help at all would be appreciated cause i have no idea wat im doin, thanks.

nice work so far. as for the finishing touches i personally would add a wash first to give it that grungy look then add a gloss coat to keep the paint from scratches and finnish up with a couple of coats of dull coat to remove the shine and give the paint that extra bit of streangth

A DOTM roadbuster? Where or when did that come from?

And I have already done a Roadbuster from the universe countdown TF - search for my thread for ideas if you like?

Ya the DOTM Roadbuster is pretty weak, its a nascar molded car, and robot mode even has the hat, the shades and the mullet in the back of yore typical nascar attendee. The three wreckers theyve made so far (Leadfoot, Roadbuster, and Topspin) have all been modeled after nascar cars. Me cousin bought it for me so I could have all three versions of him.

Yore Roadbuster custom is insane, I wouldnt probably finish mine now if it wasnt for the ocd side of me jus cause it wont look as good as that. That thing has an aura of murder.

I jus got back from a trip back home and was in Nottingham for a week while there, beautiful place.

LOVE the mold choice here! I wouldn't have thought of it, but it suits Roadbuster VERY well, great idea!

Ahh you see I wasn't sure if you were going for a movie inspired custom here or a more G1/classics style. The head you have looks good so far where was that from?

And as for painting there is no solid right or wrong on that! The tutorials here really do help!

And yes nottingham is not too bad of a place to live for the most part :D

Definitly classics, sorry if I confused you. The head is from a halo figure, jus some epoxy on the side for the orange part of his head. I have no idea bout ball joints and the works so its all magnet attachments. The tutorials are fantastic, and im workin through em when I have the time. Thanks once agian man, I do appreciate the feedback
