Wow! Three threads in one day, but seriously, this is totaly unrelated.

I'm looking for more info on a Roadbot I saw. It had the same standard RB packaging, but it was small, like deluxe sized, it was a hummer, and it was gold, I believe it also had lights.

I really like Roadbots but didn't nab this guy, so any info like quality issues or a gallery would be awesome.

    Thanks.

That looks like him, though he was deffinately gold. Thanks a ton!

Anyone have a link to more clearer pics, or a gallery?

Nope. I don't actually think he's available yet.

BBTS keeps pushing their arrival date for these newer figures back... maybe Happywell is behind schedule?

Where are you located that you are seeing them at retail?

I've seen them in Value City. Only the "Deluxe" size ones, though.

I own 4 of them: the Pajero, the Celica, the Supra, and the Ford GT.

I think they still have 2 left that I haven't picked up yet....hard to justify spending funds on these guys when they are $8 each.

I've seen them at Value City as well. I've only picked up the Pajero and the Ford GT. I don't think I'll be picking up any more of these guys, though.

In yellow? As far as I know, Happywell hasn't started repainting their figures yet. Are you sure it was the Hummer?

And for that matter, are you sure it was the Deluxe (1:32) Hummer? There was a yellow Hummer in the larger scale that's been available for a while now...

Who knows? I'm only going on scant evidence to the contrary. :)

Hey, you're in Canada, aren't you? What supermarkets are carrying these?

Superstore got a container of these figures, only two of them, the small red Hummer and the larger Yellow hummer. Those are the only two they decided to carry so far this Christmas season. The small one is $9.98 and the larger one is $19.98 CDN at Superstore, the same price the Landcruiser was last year at Christmas time.

Cool, I picked up the small Hummer, (He's cool!) and didn't see any big Hummer.

Now I kinda want more of these.:(

How's that small Hummer on transformation? I've got the 1/32 GT, and it's a total parts former.

The small Hummer is very similar to how the GT 40 is done. Several of the parts have to be removed, like the roof/back piece. The hood and tailgate can become shields and the large gun can be stored underneath like a drivetrain. It is pretty good but I don't like where the front doors end up in robot mode and like the GT40, it really could use some leg articulation.

    Curses!

We have Loblaw's (same thing as Superstore) in Quebec, but I suspect that they don't carry Roadbots because of the lack of bilingual packaging. Grrrr...

You said the only ones they seem to be carrying this year are the 2 Hummers? Or are there more?

I agree with what everyone has said about the limitations of Roadbots... but at the same time, I still find myself, against reason, wanting them... especially the 1:32 ones. Weird.

I've now received word that a store near here has them. A contact has picked up all six figures that were available for me. I will have them by week's end!

$8 at retail really does not seem bad for them to me. I know A3U has them cheaper but I would have to factor in shipping. Other online stores want $10 or more each plus shipping.

I forgot how fun part formers can be. Roadbots give you lots of options with the amount of accesories. The transformation was tricky at first, but the instructionns helped. The doors only bother me if the back peice is on.

And yet I too want more, especially the 1:32! (And at $9 you can't go wrong!)

You should be able to do a search of the forums for Roadbots. I did several in depth reviews a while back. I am pretty sure they are all still there.
