I get a Big Daddy/Predaking vibe from him. He looks good tho! Gobots need more love.

Looks fantastic, need to see alt mode though. and yes they do need more love, I am shocked half the time that Hasbro doesn't make a little side line or some legends of real gobot like molds or repaints at least, I Know there has to be money out there (Aka Buyers including but not limited to me for one) for some REAL gobots homages, not the trash minicons from derpmada, or the wtf minibot paint schemes that takara puked out that had nothing to do with gobots whatsoever

I hear you man, I wonder why the big companies can't produce accurate TFs. Granted, some of the newer ones have been getting a bit better but for example, look at Classics Galvatron and Smokescreen...I mean WTF?

I love painting figures to make them either 100% accurate or into another character altogether. This one used to be Amorhide for instance.

Vehicle mode pics coming soon as the drying's up :)

This looks quite good. If you don't mind, are you seeing any rubbing of the paint in the armpit area?

If you mean where his arms swivel out to set them in bot mode which I can see calling the armpit areas, yes I did. When I saw that they rubbed, I removed the arms completely and reduced the plastic on those hinges to eliminate the rub completely.

Another rub spot was on his outer thighs. I had to reduce the plastic there as well and then just transform him carefully to avoid rubbing those areas.

Other than that, this one was quite simple - the biggest pain in the a$$ was putting his chest spring-assisted missile unit back together.

Do you have a link to a black and orange Road Ranger? I just saw the blue and red one, is there another version?

The reason I ask is I'm trying to make some gobots myself and I love that mold, plus I have an extra movie black Armorhide just sitting in a box

Great work on this guy btw. He's very gobotastic!

I'm spending too much time on Facebook cuz I just went to hit the "Like" button. I don't think I've seen an updated version of him yet, have I? Very very cool, Son!

Yeah I found that pic after my post. My buddy just bought that e-hobby set. Still can't figure out why they made it that color. The OG gobot was red/blue as far as I can tell. So yours is more like an e-hobby Road Ranger than a Gobot Road Ranger, wouldn't you say?

Either way I like the colors and I still may make one myself. For some reason I feel like there aren't enough orange TFs

I think throwing eHobby into the title would've helped people understand the choice of color scheme a lot better.

Sorry guys, I didn't even know this guy was a go-bot until you all told me. my customer sent me the reference pics he wanted him to be painted after and called him Road Ranger.
