I'm stationed on the German/Dutch border, and in my usual rounds to find the rare TF I actually want, I keep coming across these Transformer-like bots called Road-Bots. The most common is a yellow Hummer H2, but I've seen at least four others in smaller (I think 1/32) scale.

I realize that I'm a latecomer to TFW2005, so I'm not sure how much or if at all this has been discussed. But is there any level of interest in these?

Probably would depend on price. Roadbots are typically something of "parts-formers" (where you have to remove a significant part of the vehicle mode to arrive at the robot mode). They are not as posable as modern TFs. The quality of the figures is usually okay but not great (better than KOs).

I find them generally hit or miss, like a proper Transformer designer had doodled half an idea of something in his lunchbreak and someone put it into production when he nipped off for a piss.

Wow, I typically don't care for BBTS' prices but they have the 1:12 GT for $14. That thing is HUGE. Tempting.

If they ever drop the partsforming aspect and introduce some decent posability, I'd be on them like a shot. As it is, I've bought a few and found them a bit lacking compared to Transformers.

I wouldn't mind having the Harley Davidson, but it's just "meh' enough that i don't actively pursuit it.

Also, i don't really like to have lights and sounds on ALL my bots. can't my huge ass Lamborghini just look good and TF properly?

Q.: wasn't there a thread about Roadbots a while back where the OP was asking for feedback to send to the company?
it seems that they didn't get our memos or something.

I have the green Lambo and yellow Corvette C6R in the larger versions. I'm happy with both of them.

It might make Hasbro up their game a bit more too. Not having any particularly big direct competition in their field makes any company sit on their hands perhaps more than they should.
