I have been looking at people's Victory Leo and I love the look of him. I am not into vintage (my credit card should thank me for that) nor I have lots of money to spend on toys.

Fortunately I have a chance to buy RM Star Saber (not really into this guy, to be honest) and Victory Leo.
The thing is, I can get either MISB regular version or MIB eHobby black version for about the same price.

Which would you pick? And does anyone have good closeup picturs of these?
Please don't say "Sell your kidney and get the originals" or "Get both"...my budget is limited.
Plus resale value doesn't really matter to me.

    Thank you :)

I would honestly get the regular version, because thats their original colors. If you had a big version already, I'd go with the black version.

I prefer the original colors, not only as a Victory fan but I don't think the eHobby versions look good in black, like they're trying too hard to be the next Black Convoy trend.

Thanks guys :)  I like their original colours, too. It's just that my black version fetish makes me undecided...

There are three versions available, and I prefer the 'pearlescent' look of the one that (I think) came in the two-pack with VL.

The eHobby one is not as attractive in person, in my opinion.

I'd go with the regular ones, get the Two pack though, the pearl looks good. Be careful with the sword, don't push it in too far, if the textured bit goes into his fist the peg breaks when you try to take it out.

I didn't even know there was a 2 pack with different paint apps. I checked them out at tfu. info though I couldn't make out much difference from the pictures they had.
I also found out eHobby still has the black version in stock so I suppose there's no need for me to get a MIB set with only a slight discount...Regular 2 pack it is, then if I like them enough I'll get the black version :)  Thank you, everyone!!

Would go for the regular one(s) first. I have both versions and the black one is cool , but it does'nt scream Victory Saber like the regular one. The regular one looks more like 2 completely different characters rather than 2 different characters of the same color
Plus if you never get a chance to score the BIG one, atleast you'll have a little one to hold you off. :)

The black one should still be around for ahwile, it's alwasy been pretty easy to get

Here's front & back pics of the 2pack to help your motivation hehe

How is the plastic on these, CM? I don't own any Robot Masters, but seeing as how I will never be able to afford a G1 VictorySaber, this is the next best thing. I did buy a KO set of these figures a few months back, but naturally the plastic isn't good at all. A couple pieces broke after transforming it the first time.

Have you seen this KO version? I have it! I use to own the Black version but I prefer the original colors and the larger size.

Are there many KOs of those figures? The ones in your pics look alright.

I am very happy with a few RMs I have so I am not worried about the quality :)  Neat little buggers they are.

It's funny you mention that. I picked up all three sets of these guys at the same time, and the moment I got them in my hands, I thought I was holding a KO. There is a distinct thinness to the plastic, giving them a real KO feel. They're the only Robotmasters that suffer from it, fortunately, but it's there. I also have the KO set, and ironically, it feels a little more solid to me.

When I got these I was worried that they would have similar quality issues to the RM G1 Convoy with the self-breaking waist piece. Fortunately they were pretty solid. They're small, so the plastic is reasonable but obviously not as thick or heavy as a larger toy.
