Voted for all three. And, depending on the size, cost and production numbers, the prints also intrigue me.

They're not really going for recognizability with these new t-shirts. With the previous t-shirts, you could wear those and everyone will know you're a transformer fans. With those t-shirts, only other Transformers fans with know you're a Transformers fan.

If I had to choose just one, it would have to be The whole gang.

with the new 3rd party products bi-law that is in the agreement that you agree to when you make your payment for your booth. If they dont have the copyright endorsement from Hasbro to use the names or likeness. I would not bring the shirts at all, It would fall under as piracy act. Which is the law that Hasbro is using to file their lawsuits against the 3rd party companies, But if you want to take the chance more power to you

I voted for "The Whole Gang" and the "Bad Trucking" t-shirts. I like them all really, but probably wouldn't buy the Dinobots one.

Voted for the Constructicon shirt. Incredible. There was a version of that for the 1983 NCSU Basketball team that I missed out on a few years ago.

Since these are prints on tshirts, does that rule not also affect artists selling prints as well? So Hasbro could shut down the artists alley this year. :lol

You'd want a shirt that says you're a Transformers fan and you're proud of your geekdom. An Autobot or Optimus Prime t-shirt would let people know you're a Transformers fan even if they're not into Transformers as much as you. Also, letting your friends know you're a transformers fan might encourage them to be Transformers fans. Wearing a Transformers t-shirt with obscure characters on it is like if Mark Zuckerburg wore a t-shirt that says facebook in African language.

Most of the artist that you see at botcon work for Hasbor and are asked to attend the Hasbor sponsored shows. That why the can get away having a table

I like 1 and 3, depending on the price I'd pick both of those up.

The artists aren't asked to attend by Botcon or Hasbro - they have to pay for their own tables and all of their own costs to attend, so technically they could be classed as dealers as well. With regards to employment, unless it's working on artwork for toy packaging, they're freelance employees of IDW or on short-term contracts at best.

In all seriousness though, the more Hasbro try to influence what does / doesn't happen at the convention or what is / isn't sold the more the fans will suffer. There have to be some restrictions but there has to be a degree of common sense. There are third party products that are perfectly legal but if Hasbro are too heavy-handed on third party products and other aspects of the convention attendance figures will drop.

We had artists staing in the hotel room next to us last year. They both. Told me it was part of their contact, that they had to apear at 2 toy shows that hasbro sponsored before their contact was finished. Otherwise they would not get their final paycheck. The 1 was so unhappy with coments some people told them about their work that he did not to have to attend another botcon

That's pretty harsh considering the fact that they have to pay their own way at all these events they appear at. From all of the artists I have had dealings with, they are always surprised when I tell them that we cover the expenses for our comic guests which is why we have to limit the number of guests that we have attending Auto Assembly. Otherwise, we could probably fill an entire room with all of the old Marvel UK artists...!
