I was actually able to speak with him on a whim over email. Poor guy seemed very cynical about the industry. He'll definitely be missed. RIP Dick.
I offer my condolences to Mr. Gautier's Family during this time of grief & remembrance. As fans of his voice-talent in particular, we thank him for the life he gave to characters many of us grew up with, and so he contributed to our childhood experience. He will be missed, but his myriad works will keep his memory alive. May he rest in Peace. God Bless! ...So we lose another member of the classic G1 cast, and though it is not shocking for a man gifted with over eight decades of life, it is nonetheless a sad day for the Transformer fandom.
Damn! I liked Get Smart, that and Gilligan's Island are my only old school favorites. Likewise I never made the connection on the voices either. Learn something new every day. RIP
Rest In Peace, Mr. Gautier. Thank you for providing such a voice and personality into all the characters you've helped in bringing to our screen.
I dunno why but the fact that Rodimus died before Optimus makes this even sadder. He will be greatly missed.
