    Although to be honest, I sort of thought he was on his way out judging from how he sounded even worse at the last New Year's Eve bash hosting than he had the year before.

    RIP. I admired his up beat attitude. He didn't seem like he would live much longer after seeing the last New Year's Eve Countdown, but he did seem genuinely excited and it was clear that he loved doing it.
