Well, I found a Classics Cliffjumper today, and I decided to strip the silver paint off.

I took most of the figure apart but didn't remove the rear window. After I removed the paint and started to put it back together, the rear window shattered.

Now I'm going to need to find another one. :cry

Well, turn a negative into a positive - figure out a way to make him a convertible?

Is there a ways to replace it with a piece of styrene, then paint the windows light blue?

So it would be something like this

This just sounds like the perfect opportunity to do a full-body reshell!

    soft

You could scroll a panel line from the front doors to the backto the spolier panels, then cut it off replace the window with styrene, paint it black, sand down the old spoiler fill holes and make him look like he has a soft top.

A Black top would look nice on him.

Is that a Volkswagen Thing, like the one from Pimp My Ride? :lol

Seriously, though, I don't know how you'd do it, but a targa-top convertible would be an awesome custom, since you've already got a busted toy.

That sucks... but it's not a BIG problem... you should easily be able to find some clear plastic to stick in those windows right? No need to buy a whole new figure, unless you really want to, of course. ;)

I soaked my Classics Bumblebee to get the white paint off, with only the back end immersed in the alcohol. However the two clear plastic arms that connect his roof/chest to the rear hatch just crumbled off. That clear plastic does NOT like alcohol...

Also a hint... if those plastic hinge arms on the roof break, like they did on my BB, you can actually use some epoxy to reattach the roof directly to the plate that his head is mounted on... it's much sturdier than before. Works perfectly if you attach it in car mode (so everything is lined up properly). It even prevents the wheels from popping his head up whenever you move the arms too far.

You know the funny part of that is, I have soaked clear parts from Alternators in alcohol before with no problem.

I guess this is a different type of plastic.
