Today is a special date in my transformers history. The date I got Scourge on one year ago. In the year since that time, Scourge has became the transformer I've taken the most pictures of. As well as giving me a years worth of funny bits in my comic.

Uh, an inquiry: was Tony Oliver the voice director for RID, or did he just provide voices on a few episodes? Because he's got a great resume for a voice actor (LUPIN, BLEACH, AKIRA, POWER RANGERS), I think he could do a really great Autobot/Decepticon/etc if he got the chance to be cast in a show.

 

So this came in today, was MISB.

Awesome family reunion there! I've never thought of Scourge as a son or nephew, but it actually makes sense LOL. Great concept!

Not the one from RID, just the Generations version which I use in its place. Though I do have Transmetal 2 Cybershark, the figure Sky-Byte was repainted from.

It is surprisingly difficult to find any good art of My favorite Transformer, Devil Gigatron/RID Galvatron.




I was wondering if anyone had a clean copy of these pictures (meaning just the art itself, not with the added text overlays). I thought I had found one of the Devil Gigatron card/box art years ago, but I might be remembering incorrectly.




And if I could find a clean version of this, that would be fantastic. The Vault book has a picture of this with the rest of the Predacons and Decepticons overlaid (page 118). But I'd love to just have a picture of the magnificence that is Devil Gigatron.

All it's missing is Botcon 2010 Sky-Byte and Fire Convoy's ladder off the Ai-chan/Gelshark figurine.

 

A word from the great Scourge:

I wasn't a big fan of RiD the series, but I love the uses they came up with for older molds, and some of the new ones made for it are really good.
I currently only have Scourge, Megatron and Sky-Byte from the series (except Sky-Byte is the Generations version - which is really bad ass, except his missile launcher came broken).
I really want Gas Skunk and the larger Optimus figure. I finally found Ultra Magnus, and should be getting him in the mail sometime this week. I seriously want to make Omega Prime.
One thing I really liked about RiD/Car Robots are the asymmetrical forms the bots had. I never understood why an alien robot would care if he was symmetrical. The Autobot brothers are a prime example of this. I really dig how X-Brawn has a bumper for one arm, making it bigger than the other, or the youngest (whose name escapes me at the moment) has a very asymmetrical face. Some people hated that, but it is actually one of the pros for me.

 

i hope to see more decepticon warriors/deluxes. i would want a toy for those i see on the android apps..
