i call bullshit on any news about a third batman. about four months ago my girlfriend's cousin was claiming to have read the script for the third one. i was like "no you didn't, it doesn't exist"

Despite the fact that the source article is garbage, I could actually see Eddie Murphy as The Riddler. I don't know, I'm just saying it could work.

If the director were anyone else, maybe. But this just isn't Nolan-esque enough.

Who I would want to see?

1. John Cusack
2. Hugo Weaving
3. Jeff Goldblum (think about it... Uh, Batman! Uh-yes! Uhhhh Riddle me this!)
4. Hugh Laurie
5. Johnny Depp

 

On that whole list, Depp is the only one I agree with. Cusack isn't crazy enough. he can do funny but not villain-funny. Weaving is a strong "meh". Goldblum, no. He can be Sgt Bullock, that's it. Laurie would be a good villain but not a Riddler. Riddler is to upbeat. Hugh would have been a good Scarecrow or someone more reserved.

I've heard Talia also. A Two-Face/Talia pair would be interesting. Both are sort of villains but not.

 

Harvey Dent is dead. If it wasn't clear enough in the film Nolan himself clarified it again during Dark Knight BD Live event from the other day.

Deadshot! Do someone that hasn't been done before. Deadshot. And a realistic take on Catwoman would be nice, too. The goggles and jumpsuit Catwoman. Not Halle's travesty or Michelle's Cinderella story gone awry.

And no Angelina Jolie. That would be horrible. If Nolan's doing the older Catwoman he was talking about, Jane Seymour would be perfect. Catherine Zeta-Jones would be good, too.

 

Well I'll be damned. I missed that. Doesn't wound like it was to great though.

 

Robert Downey Jr has to be in the next movie. It could be Bruce Wayne and Toney Stark having drinks for 2 hours and it will still be awesome.

Let's start a rumor of our own. The next movie is going to be Batman vs. the Avengers.

 

This shortly after TDK is released on BluRay, alongside comments by Chris Nolan saying he still hasn't come up with a decent story for part 3. These people need to google their own articles before printing up this crap.

 

Personally anything that Nolan can think of is gonna be hella better than anything we find on the internet. If he was smart he'd go the 'everybodys out for Batman' angle. Have the Feds swarm Gotham and have the mob trying to make a kill on Batman at the same time.
