I scored an unopened RID Scourge at the local Flea Market for $10 on an impulse. I know he's a repaint of an older Optimus Prime figure, but he's got me interested in RID nonetheless.

I've already got the super Optimus Prime fire truck, super Ultra Magnus, ultra Megatron and Galvatron, and deluxe Sky-Byte on the wishlist.

Any other figures I should consider?

    The Car Brothers.

You need some sleek looking vehicles on God/Ultra Magnus. :)

Rail Racer. It's an awesome combiner.

    Cryotek is also pretty neat.

The little scout sized Predacons are nice. I like them at least. Slapper has to be my favourite of the three.

Prowl, Sideburn, and X-Brawn. The three new deluxe-scale car molds from RiD/Car Robots. Each got a "Super" repaint as well.

Rail Racer looks awesome, adding him.

I think I may end up buying all six versions. Especially X-Brawn, he looks pretty awesome with his blade and giant arm.

The Car Brothers are some of the best deluxe car molds going around.

That deal you got on Scourge is outstanding.

But without a doubt, Rail Racer. I also like Landfill. But I recommend the all yellow version or G1 Decepticon repaint.

Why those versions over the originals?

People prefer uniformity, the G1/G2 inspired sets have all of the robots in one color scheme, while the Landfill deco has four different colored robots.

Personally, I'd recommend at least everything I own that's RiD.

Ruination is a must have if you don't have the mold. The first deco is great as it doesn't seem to suffer from the mold degradation that the other decos seem to be plagued with.

Bruticus is also very unique, and cool

As stated, Rail Racer and Landfill are two very, must have molds.
Car Brothers are a necessity, Megatron/Galvatron is great too.

When it comes to Galvatron and Megatron, only the color schemes are different, as RiD Megatron uses the Japanese version of the Galvatron mold, both the RiD versions of the tyrant are capable of 10 modes. Very solid figure.

I'll add another vote for Rail Racer, the Car Brothers (both decos!) and Landfill.

That said, I'm an RiD completist so I'd recommend them all. :D

I don't have much interest in Constructicons, so that repaint of Landfill is out of the equation. I'm torn between the uniformity of the completely yellow repaint and the show accuracy of the original.

I went for the original ones...

Just for the sake of being "anime-accurate" unless you're not too bothered by that. ;)

Edit: And no one here gives a d@mn about the other 2 cars?? (Indy Heat & Wrecker Hook)

The autobot combiners are both great, railracer looks nicer but I find landfill a very interesting toy, the fact he has switchable limbs and the unifed color repaints are really nice.
