As I was not able to get a hold of FE Prime, I settled for the RiD version. I really like the figure. Even the backpack annoyed me less and less the longer I owned the figure. The only thing I really had a problem with was the clear blue on the forearms. I was just going to paint over it solid, but then I remembered I could do clear. So I painted them clear red such that the forearms are red, but still retain the option of the "powerizer" gimmick that I wasn't too fond of to begin with, but it's nice to have the option.

Sorry for the crappy photos. Camera died and I used my phone instead. It's also late and I'm tired.

EDIT: I went back and colored the upper parts of his chest red too. I've also removed the whole LED assembly from the gun. The back(of the gun) is a bit hollow now, but I think it looks better without the huge clunky bit.

If/when i get around to getting this, I think I'll do the same, yours turned out so well. Although part of me is still holding out for the FE editions to get some sort of re-release a bit further down the line.

Yeah, I'm hoping they do get into the discount stores so I can pick up FE Prime and Bulkhead for under $15 each. This one will just be a place holder until then. Then again, you can never have too many Primes. I've got 14 Primes now if you count repaints.

Ya know, I probably wouldn't have had such a problem with the figure if it used clear red from the start.. Meh, I don't like the gimmic anyway.

That would be easier to do if I had access to the FE mold.

Sharpie paint markers have this interesting property where after a long-ish period of non use, the pigment doesn't come out so much and the colors apply clear.

    Thanks.

Yeah I don't either, but the red I have wouldn't match up with the rest of him and I don't feel like doing a full repaint into a slightly different red, so I thought this would be the best approach.

    Thanks.

Funny you should mention that. I did that today. Well...I actually just took off the whole huge clunky LED/battery pack assembly. So it's just a basic hollow looking gun, but I might just fill/cover it with something.

Makes it look a lot better, now if only something could be done about that cape.
