    Saw this on Allspark:
    http://www.polarismagazine.co.uk/preview-i...-in-disguise-3/

    My thoughts:

Thank you background discussion of the screwed economy, differences between NAILS and non-existent infrastructure!

That is EXACTLY what this book needed to remind us of the totally new society trying to form from the Chaos here. Very cool. Hope there's more like that inside.

(The two NAILs who come to Wheeljack are fine, but they're the two "normal ones" again. Really I want to see the less "normal bodied" ones we see in the backgrounds get spotlight/dialogue too. Even more really. But hey, this is a big step the right way. )

-ZacWilliam, and ooh, new G1 Aerialbot based on a Minicon... Now did he live...

Barrel Roll was a Minicon apparently, so that's kinda neat.

    Heck yeah Wheeljack issue.

With a good chunk of the Autobot's scientist on board the Lost Light, Wheeljack is probably feeling a lot of pressure.

When I first saw the title, I expected a new wave of RID toys, not another mediocre G1 comic. Meh.

RiD's been a pretty good G1 comic actually. Maybe not as off the wall AWESOME as More Than Meets the Eye is, no, but still miles above the Costa junk. A fun read.

-ZacWilliam, if MTMTE weren't one of the best TF things ever I'd still be pretty happy with just RiD. IDW has been doing spectacular stuff these last few months. A great turn around for them.

Ratbat being an important con leader comes from all the way back in the 80s stories. It was used in DW as well. His being a Senator pre-war was established many years ago now way back in Megatron Origins and has been used in Aligned as well.

He tried to pick that roll back up in IDWs great current books.

-ZacWilliam, didn't work out so hot.

Oh can't wait for this. I love MTMTE, but I also like the political intrigue side of the RID series. So far both books have been great.

Notices that Air Raid's alt-mode wasn't WFC-based, like Silverbolt and the rest of the bots and cons that made an appearance in WFC.

Lol, Barrel Roll? They're really going for terrible names for the redshirts, aren't they? Andrew Griffith's take on the conehead design might take getting used to...Dirge's face gets lost in that gigantic cone.

You are a sad, strange little man. And you have my pity.

I don't think it's terrible. That's an aerial maneuver is it not?

It's a fine name. No worse than any other flying TF.

-ZacWilliam, That said, I wish TFs wore clothing just so he could get himself a t-shirt that says "Do a Barrel Roll" and use it to try to pick up Femmes at Maccaddam's.

And he's not even a scientist in the strict sense. He's an engineer and he builds things, but I don't think he works in the same fields as guys like Brainstorm and Perceptor. That said, there are probably a ton of other Autobot scientist around. They weren't that uncommon were they?

Unnecessarily harsh. I do find the titles of these 2 series kind of annoying. I wish had chosen titles that were a bit more representative.

However, these new books are far from mediocre. Admittedly a new release of RID toys would be pretty cool. Unless you meant PRIME RID... damn that RID label is getting WAY overused! :(

I miss EJ Su's conehead design, where the cone has quite a protruding brow, so it looks more like a hood or helmet.

    And Barrel-Roll really isn't a bad TF name at all, especially for a jet. It's not just a video-game/internet meme y'know. :)

Exactly. It's actually a better name than "Fireflight" when you think about it.

I didn't expect to see Dirge, I actually did a doubletake. Kudos to them for taking and expanding a small part of All Hail Megatron. Maybe, juuuusssttt maybe he won't die! LOL!
