Non-TF: Rick dom:A cousin to Shockwave??!

    I bought a gundam plastic kits for painting purpose and one of my friends reminded me that this thing looks like shockwave and I really agree on that!

    Maybe they are relatives in a way. lolZ

    ALways love drafting mecha from other lines into the TF universe, and yeah, this guy looks like he could be a part of "clan lens-face" for sure ;)

    Is that a custom paint job? It's SLICK! Nice job! I'd actually have to say that I don't see much resemblance to Shockwave, though. Shockwave has traditionally been thin and sleek. Almost all of Zeon's MS have had one eye, and the Zeon MS are usually fat and round. Even the sleeker MS, such as the Gelgoog and the Kaempfer, have fat round proportions. I'd argue that the Federation's MS, such as the Nu Gundam, have very Shockwave-y bodies, and Zeon mecha such as the Rick Dias have Shockwave-y heads.

    In the face, Shoulders, and the bulky shins, but thats all i see as for resemblance.

    I wouldn't say so unless you're willing to pull in every mono-eye MS from the Gundam franchise to bear in comparison. Nevertheless a fantastic job, it looks quite similar to the Rick-Dom from the master model tutorial videos.
