This is the third of several G1 characters I'm trying to customize as Revoltechs.

If you don't count head-swaping GIJoes 25 years ago, these are my first custom attempts, so I don't pretend they are perfect. For these, I experimented a lot with sculpting, resin casting parts, painting etc. I certainly learned a lot that will go into making future customs better. But, these are what they are, good, bad, or otherwise.

This one was challenging. I know there have been other Revoltech Shockwave customs, but they all seem to use the rare model kit from some obscure convention. I wasn't fortunate enough to get one of those, so I had to make this from pieces found far and wide. It's not perfect, but I like it :)

    Looks about dead-on perfect, actually.

The ONE thing I might have done different is to put in the panel lines to break up his "chest-windows," but generally this is SWEET!

Thanks! I completely agree about the chest. However, virtually his whole chest/torso was custom and my first attempts at working with styrene, so it didn't end up quite as detailed as I would have liked. No doubt, if I did it again, I would approach lots of the project differently. Live and learn I suppose.

Agreed with D/L, but even you know it. You should do it again, someone might really want one. :D

Yep. Really, it was about the only option besides a full-on scratch head sculpt, and I wasn't interested in going down that road.

This is great info! I've been looking for a Shockwave head in that size range.

Great job on all your Tf Revoltechs. I wish they would continue the line but I guess this is were you come in right?!

They all look so factory! All the paint is nice and smooth. Can't wait to see more.

Thanks. I really wish they'd continue this line as well. So many other figures that I'd like to see, and I couldn't possibly customize them all. Although I might try ;)
