They modded the Skullcruncher mold to move his beast mode legs into the robot legs cavities.... but they also made his head white for some reason? Huh
A rather uneducated guess, but I think the white/light gray head has to do with the parts---the head is the only thing that was molded in black on the original. I'm wondering if that's because Hasbro has molds specifically for the headmasters? If so, they would just make all the black-parted headmasters in one batch to save money. In this case, this headmaster is specifically for this toy. Cheaper to just have it colored the same as the parts he comes with (choose between green, darkish hot pink, light gray).
Really surprised with these. I wonder if they'll make any of the non-headmaster headmasters. I REALLY want a Voyager Blurr (Takara colors), especially if they have that Brainstorm mold. But I'm doubting that happening.
God I hope they do a broadside .
How do you think KOs are made?
They scan the originals and enlarge them, have access to digital molds they simply enlarge and refine or what?
I can't wait for a hot rod to use as Rodimus Prime for my chugs! I think that's the only one I want
I'd be happy if they de-hm certain characters, but I doubt I'd be that lucky.
Igot my mine...
"BUT WHAT DOES IT MEAN?!!!"
These look really great. They're in the size class they should've been all along.
In the case of Skullcruncher Ben really highlights the fact that Champsosaurs is a high quality figure w/improved engineering in a couple of spots.
Also as a sidenote, Im normally a stickler for cartoon/toy accuracy but, I don't mind at all that Champsosaurs/Skullcruncher's head is white instead of black.
