I've seen some pretty terrible video reviews of transformers lately (won't name names) but this one takes the cake. what a moran.

I've heard it's a man thing, but I'm secure enough in my masculinity to read the instructions before I attempt to transform anything. Since he knew nothing about the automorph feature he could have seriously damaged that thing (it seemed to have the "bad" design). I mean are you more of a TF fan if you can figure it out on your own? When I was 8 I could pull that off, but since I don't have any 8 year-olds around me, I gotta pull out the instructions.

 

Man, I couldn't finish watching the review, just feel like reaching into the monitor and slap him around a couple of times, did he ended up with a "defective" Bumblebee? Idiot...

 

I want the '08 Bee. It's much better.

as much as clear windows are cool, 08 bumble is better looking relatively than the gimpy 76 bumble and i'm just passing up 76 bumble altogether regardless of clear windows or not.

anyways, i like 76 slammer bumble better   kawaa!!

If the '08 'BEE wasn't coming out I might chase this one up, but as it is I don't think I'll be bothering.

 

The clear version looks just as bad viewed from the rear because now, both doors are entirely clear. I prefer solid yellow doors and leg panels.

 

Do you also have this issue with Movie Swindle, Barricade, Ironhide, Classics Bumblebee, Classics Optimus, etc... ? Not to mention numerous Altenators/Binaltech figures. Because they all have the same painted clear plastic.

 

Swindle : yes
Barricade : no, doors are not clear
Ironhide : no, doors are folded, so you don't really see it
Ratchet : no, same
Classics BB : no, you don't see it
Classics Optimus : no, you don't see it, doors are folded on the arms
Alternators : non-existent issue

 

The only thing that was keeping me from buying the 70's BB was the painted windows, but problem solved. I found out about this guy yesterday and promptly got one off Ebay, now I just sit and wait for him.

The problem with the U.S. version is that it puts the yellow behind the legs - where it shouldn't be. At least the dark blue doesn't stand out and draw attention to the inaccurate blockiness of the roof panel like the yellow does. The real problem is, as someone already pointed out, that there are paint apps missing from parts of the legs and the arms where they were intended to be.

I just put in an order for one of these. The clear windows are a winner in my eyes. I loved the custom someone posted here and I think I will do the same. Adding some yellow in spots really makes the toy pop and look much better.

another reason the Japanese version is inferior just occured to me.

Despite using clear plastic, thus putting the clear plastic in his head to do light-piping that the hasbro figure doesnt have, THEY PAINTED OVER IT. no part of the clear plastic in his head is visible. back of the head is painted, eyes are painted.

and thats just stupid.

 

Well, you would be right if the head of the JP Bumblebee was actually molded in the transparent blue plastic.


But its not.
