I was in Japan recently and found Masterpiece Tracks on sale in Osaka. I've never owned a masterpiece before and the price was right. I've just noticed though, mine has 2 left leg panels. [IMG]

Damn, that's rough. And it's not like you can just return or exchange it.

Just recently got mine not too long ago from another Dutch TF con. :)

The figure is fine and all, though one of the tail fins is a tiny but loose and keeps flopping downward. :/

    Huh.

I actually kinda like the look of the leg panel on the right leg.

I get that having the little circle inside is more accurate and all, but it just looks better without the "kneepad" off to one side.

I wonder how difficult it would be to mod it. @lambi does the right leg still transform and fit in alt mode?

So I got him. He's alright. He very much was the weird in between from Hasui to the Ironhide designer. His altmode is fantastic and I love the transformation but once that back finds its resting spot it just feels... unfinished. I just want it to lock in way lower. Not to mention one of his shoulder wheels on mine fell out of its hole.I plugged the pin back in but that sucker will fall out if you breathe on it. Oh well still a very pretty figure and adds alot to a master piece display.

It fits, but not well. It Doesnt lock into place in robot mode either, which is the biggest problem. Not really recommended at all.

Me too. I mean, I think the toy would have looked much better without the leg panels at all (there's some really nice sculpting under there), but it DOES look better on the opposite side.

Also another problem with the wrong panel thing; that side of him doesn't quite lock into place in alt mode. I forgot about that before, but I just transformed him now and it's close, but not quite right.

Dunno if this has been reported before but just wanted to give a heads up to my fellow MP Tracks owners.

I just noticed that my tracks' left arm has cracked at the joint just under the wheel. The plastic has split almost all the way through and I'm terrified of transforming him again :(

and thats why masterpieces arent worth it, voyagers with a couple of pieces of diecast doesnt equal 4 times the price, when the rest is as fragile as a regular figure, even more, the sometimes dont have more engineering or paint , so yeah, good figures sometime sbut paying hundreds for a figure that will break? no thanks i better expend that on rts tracks or even the takara versions

I'd get a quick coat of Crazy Glue over that grey piece asap. That'll do the trick.

But I'd also use a thin tipped paint brush to apply it, so it doesn't drip down into the arm joint.

Fwiw, this is the first time ever ever had any issues with a masterpiece figure.

Here in Japan the MP car bots cost about the same as voyager figures actually, so not all that overpriced.

To each their own and all but I would really recommend the MPs, man. They're in a league of their own.

Cheers for the tip, will definitely give that a try!
