So has it been confirmed that this bad boy won't be combining with leader jetfire. I mean does it seem like he's got any actual pegs or connector slots?

Yea, too bad (seeing as how easily it's activated during transformation) would have been nice to have a couple more phrases to cycle through.

You know, so that one wouldn't get so old, so quick

I wouldn't go quite that far.

Hasbro really needs to hire better people to manage their booths at the various cons because none of the photos I've seen so far has done it the justice that this one video has. Had their people transformed it correctly, it would look a lot better. This is most likely the only ROTF figure I'm going to buy. I wish it came with a gun though. I'd rather have a gun than two swords.

Too bad the paint apps suck. If I buy it and they pull that Premium crap again, I'm going to be quite angry.

Great video. I don't tend to watch a lot of them, but that was great. I can't wait to finally buy this figure. If they do give him a premium repaint, I'll probably get that too, and then kitbash the first one, or something.

Looks great. He's going to be one of the few movie figures I have to pick up.

I'm inclined to agree. For a while I've wanted to see a 'masterpiece' level Prime figure which has an alt mode which bears more than just a vague passing resemblance to a truck shaped vehicle.

    This about does the job.

I really love this figure. I'm really excited about getting it. Just....why does they grey have to look so crappy? Couldn't the use the same paint they did for the exterior on Deluxe Sideswipe?

I like everything except the sound effect - he should really say "You're The Man Now Dog!"
I'll get the first release of this, and when Hasbro repaints it in "premium" colors I'll gladly bend over and buy it again!

I stand by this statement 100%. The ROTF figure may be more "movie accurate", but that's not a selling point for me. I was never real keen on Prime's onscreen bot mode. I actually wish the movie version looked MORE like the toy.

It's nice to see that the bot mode is so drastically different, but no. I'll be keeping my movie one version and passing on this guy. It's nice to have swords, but the complete lack of a gun is a little silly, especially when you're mortal enemy has a murder-death-chaos arm of destruction with a sword, claw and oh yeah...big frakkin' tank cannon on it.

I will, however, be swayed if this guy gets re-painted as Nemesis Prime. No Hasbro; a blue version with silver flames won't cut it here. Give him to us as a Nemesis Prime, with red windows, an evil voice and a jet black paint job with either silver flames or scallops, and then I'll take this mold home with me.

Great review; Leader Optimus Prime is easily my most anticipated toy of the year (so far), it looks like it beats the first one by a mile.
If Takara pulls off a "Battle Mode" version of this toy, with premium paint and chrome, it will be the best Optimus Prime toy ever made. :rock

Could be tempted with this just because it's so accurate looking, and the transformation is much closer to the movie model than the previous leader class toy. Pity about the red on the feet though.
