YouTube - ROTF Leader Class Jetfire!!!

Combination video coming soon, as well as the pictorial review. I took many pics today, but all of alt and combined mode, with only a couple of robot mode pics. Whoops! I'll shoot robot mode tomorrow for the pictorial, but if you want to see pictures NOW, here's all I've got in my photobucket album:

Just watched it a few times. Jetfire is so awesome. I was hoping his voice would be deeper and growlier (is that a word?), though.

Yeah, I think it's just a generic voice, and not actually a clip of Turturro.

I always enjoy your reviews, peaugh, struggles with loose panels notwithstanding.

Egad, kibble much, there? When they said "robots in disguise" I think they had more in mind than HIDING UNDER A JET. ROTF Jetfire, why can't you be more like ROTF Starscream?

What's the selling point of this toy aside from his size?

Altmode looks cool from EXACTLY ONE ANGLE!
Robot mode LOOKS AWFUL and DOES NOTHING!
    Voice effects by GROUNDSKEEPER WILLY!
Powerup Optimus Prime by COMPLETELY IMMOBILIZING HIM!
Look kids! He can HOLD HIS CANE!

I can wait, looks good and all, but the voice is a major turnoff. I can hope for a rerelease down the road where he has his movie voice. Otherwise he's perfect.

I may have missed it, but I didn't see you give a run down on articulation/posability. I am espcially interested in knowing if the legs have joints.!:thumbs2:

Great review. I am not sure what to think about Jetfire now. I have to see it in person.

i really do want to like this guy and i will prob get him, but they sacrificed too much of what could have been a great figure with all the kibble to combine with Prime.

Jetmode from the side doesn't look as bad as I thought it would be. Still disappointing but not TF1 Starscream bad. That is one huge plane!

I like the robot mode too. Looks very unique. Peaugh, how is the leg articulation? Does he have knee articulation, and where are the ratchets/detents located?

Size alone makes this a must-buy for us jet fans. :)

Moving inlet spikes would have been an easily implemented gimmick that would probably actually improve robot mode. (not a complaint, just a comment)

(MP seekers have non-existant opening engine access panels added on, but the SR-71's actual moving spikes aren't present? True, they're not very FUN, but it would help "hide" just a bit of the kibble in bot mode if they retracted into the nacelles a bit)
