So, I just bought TFP:RID Ratchet and Arcee this morning, and after fiddling with them a bit, I think I realized why they're calling the deluxes 'Revealers.' It appears that they all have a minor Automorph feature relating to their heads popping up in transformation.

Ratchet - Head springs up out of chest once backpack is set
Arcee - Head moves into position once waist is folded into back
Cliffjumper - Head shifts up as arms are rotated into position
Soundwave - Head springs forward once backpack is folded back

I don't have the Bumblebee or Wheeljack, but anyone who does - does this seem to make sense? Soundwave and Ratchet are the particular linking examples, since their heads are spring-loaded. I know this isn't an uncommon practice in TFs any more, but it seems particularly noteworthy that all the deluxes so far have this feature.

Wheeljack's head extends from his chest when you push up on his crotch, BB's head and chest tform when you extend his shoulders. So yes.

Aw, damn. I thought I was a genius for a moment there :lol  Hadn't heard anything relating to it. But honestly, not surprised that it's not some grand revelation.

Nah, it's old news I'm afraid.

It 'appears' that Powerizers/Revealers were supposed to be a gimick title, and not a class category, but now everyones just running with it.

Apparently. All Powerizers is, is light up mechtech guns.

Yes, but the receipts and pegs still say Revealers and Powerizers, my friend.

Even if we know different AND the package says different.

Still strikes me as silly... they scrapped the FE molds, ostensibly to incorporate this new gimmick which does completely undocumented. If Hasbro is of the mindset that kids like the gimmicks so much to make whole new molds, why wouldn't you mention said gimmicks somewhere on the packaging?

I wouldn't even say that to be honest.

What was to stop them from including the Poweriser gun that came with RID Prime with FE Prime?

I haven't opened my FE Prime yet (and may never do) but as I understand it he's very very complex, and not a great 'toy'. Great for adults and collectors but for kids? Nah.

I'm kinda of two minds on FE/RID, I think its great Hasbro are trying to bring TF's back to kids, but I still want my awesome super complicated screen accurate figures. FE was supposed to be a good will gesture to us Adults and collectors while Hasbro simplified the mainline, except you know. Hasbro ballsed it all up.

Dunno bout you but im going by what the package says which is the official Hasbro name. The reason behind the store tags and reciepts using revealers and powerizers is these are entered into the store computers long before they are released and like said in that quote i posted these were names Hasbro were considering

Hey, I'm not telling you one way or the other. I'm just telling you what says what.

They're still deluxes/voyagers/whatever you want. Just the computer systems have them listed differently.

Yea the head gimmic is why they were going to be called revealers but I think it makes little sense seeing as how a transformer is expected to transform into a robot. Revealers sounds more like a ko brand name you would find at big lots or a dollar store. Maybe why hasbro decided against calling them that.
