Now the question is for the Reveal the Shield, is it going to reveal either that TLK toys are going to continue with wave 4 or it will end at wave 3 and we can only count on Mission to Cybertron for future TLK characters.

Most of the other constructicons didn't get any other figures aside from the Leigon Devastator set a while back.

 

Cogman? Hooligan? Mohawk? Who is coming up with these names? What's wrong with the names that Hasbro already has trademarks for?

 

Did you even check to see if they actually did have trademarks? Or at least had been used before?


Granted, I only treat Hooligan as an exception. Cogman is a stupid ass name for a stupid ass character if you ask me.

 

No, I did not. I'm at work until 1 AM & around now is when things get busy for me. I stand corrected on Hooligan. I still think Cogman & Mohawk are bad names. What's Mohawk's alt-form? The 1980's A-Team van?

 

I think it's because most people are pronouncing Cogman wrong. It sounds much better when you pronounce it like a person's last name. Also, the "Cog" part of Cogman makes sense as his robot mode is littered with them. I'd say let's give the character a chance as he sounds pretty neat.

In a franchise littered with names, the best they can do is instead invent a completely unimaginable one that's basically a mechanical man made of gears.

Except, then why not just call the bastard Gears?

It's creatively bankrupt if you ask me - avoiding the existing name for something even stupider. Of course, me thinking anything to do with TF5 is completely against the themes of the franchise proper and above all else cheap is like saying water is wet.

 

Eh, I think it's a nice break from the designs we've previously received and he works for what he represents. And yes, Gears would have worked just fine, but I don't think Cogman is particularly a bad name either.

Everything new in the movies is creatively bankrupt to you, because you hate everything the new movies do regardless if they make sense or not, or have existed in Transformers before. Like when you ranted about dragons being in Transformers like it'd never happened before.

It's very obvious "Cogman" is a name given to him by the humans of ye olde times. They wouldn't call him "Gears" with their old-fashioned speech.

Which we never do, because we know exactly what you're going to say every time.

Tomorrow is the day, so I hope we will see a new MPM and with the reveal, the official release date for MPM Bumblebee

 

The thing is they didn't mention what time is each reveal.

 

If the reveal is coming from Hasbro HQ in Pawtucket (where I also was born & currently work in), I would guess sometime between 9 AM-5 PM Eastern time.

Cogman, I can probably do without and if they make Hooligan and Mohawk, good for them.

This would be my reaction if the Barricade of that video is the legion class/one-step....

 

If they'd called him Gears, everyone would just complain that he was nothing like the original and to just give him some new name.

 

How am I supposed to sleep knowing that One-step Steelbane will be revealed in a few hours?
