Thanks for the review. I can't wait to get this one. I had G1 perceptor when I was a kid and one of my favorites. I just realized that he did not come with a gun but should be able to get him one. I have my minty perceptor but I may have my childhood one that may have a gun I can spare.

 

Ooh is this definitively the Hasbro version? I really hope it is, it's hard to believe they would give a figure chrome. I love everything, but something about his face seems off balance, I think his mouth may be a bit too far down on his face (it's really a minor gripe but I just felt like pointing it out).

Always liked Perceptor the character, but always thought his mass shifting microscope mode was stupid. Now at least he can Transform and Roll Out with the rest of the Bots  

 

I wonder why now with the chrome, wish they started that a while ago

Hasbro had been working on a newer chroming process, I hear. Apparently it's ready.

 

This guy just jumped on my "DO WANT list".  

 

I have been simply amazed by how much more I want this guy every time I see him despite not being terribly interested in the character

 

Very clever transformation, the robot mode is spot on, alt mode is quite dull but transforming into gaint microscope never scanned for me, at leat this alt mode serves a purpose.

 

No kidding? Where did you hear that?

 

I plan on buying the generatiosn version but I would have preferred a modernized microscope. It' what made him standout imo, plus having Rumble and Frenzy as vehicles bugs me a bit too.

 

i really like all the love thats coming for the (real)movie cast right now. with the city commander armour magnus can deal with it, warbot defender springer has better things to do than die, blurr can snipe decepticons decepticons decepticons out of the walls air and the gates, kup has not a piece left out and now perceptor can even any tactical eficcency all in all absoultly fantastic time to be a 1986 movie fan

 

Looking forward to this guy, have big plans for him!

Great review. He looks fantastic. Out of interest, can his shoulder cannon swing forward so that the flip-out targeting panel is in front of his eye/face?

 

cant wait to get this figure! i've been tossing this idea around for the longest and no one has seemed to catch on. but what about Animated Perceptor's 3rd mode...is it possible?

 

Or is it possible to pivot the shoulder cannon to look down onto his open chest? It seems too random to put a hinge on it unless folding his chest down serves some purpose, like creating a mobile lab table for him to examine things on.

 

Cool review. I have to watch them here because the You Tube ads are getting annoying.
