    Hello,

So I have had Reveal the Shield Jazz and Tracks for a couple weeks now. Both of them came with very crooked rub signs/"shields". It bothered me quite a bit but I forgot about it for the most part.

Today I got my Battle in Space Reveal the Shield set with Rodimus and Cyclonus. Cyclonus's shield seems fine but Rodimus's is horribly misaligned as well.

I haven't tried with Rodimus yet but Jazz and Tracks shields seemed VERY TIGHTLY applied and don't appear to be adjustable at all. I was curious if there was a trick to being able to either re-adjust the shields or remove them without harming the figure. Any help would be much appreciated :)

    Thanks in advance!

This issue was discussed in another thread as well as the best way to remove them i will see if i can find said thread.

Cant find the thread but if i recall the best way to remove the rubsigns as described in the thread was to carefully lift the edge with something really thin and to pull straight up and slowly.

I removed the one on Mindset as I consider him a movie toy but I might end up doing the same with Windcharger. Rubsigns on modern toys look strange to me.

actually here is how....take a razor blade and very slowly work it under the shield sticker...lift it off the tf..then carefully remove from the razorblade and then reposition it on the TF and press back down.

I would appreciate that. I searched in the Radicons and didn't find anything. Thanks :)

I would rather not take a razer blade to the figure unless there is no other option. Very worried about the paint, particularly on Rodimus with that bright yellow.

How about heating the thing with a blow dryer causing the glue to melt/soften and then just slide and reposition the shield.

You guys are forgetting how sensitive those decals are. Pulling of the decal might result in it not working.

Could always pull one off and get the reprolabels rubsigns and put them where you want

I'm just gonna order reprolables ordinary symbols and get rid of the rub signs altogether.

If it's possible I think it's best to just look for a figures with aligned shields. The success of re-aligning the stickers would depend on the sort of adhesive used and the durability of the sticker itself. If the adhesive is too sticky or if the sticker is too flimsy then it would be an exercise in futility.

I have an RTS Legends Megs with a misaligned rub sign but found another one with an aligned one. I will open the former and try to align the sticker, will post the results here, hehe. :)

I got a bum matrix in my Battle in Space set too. Right hand loop for the jewelry chain has a mold defect and is super thin and mis-shapen. Hope I can get this shield thing figured out.

I might try the hair dryer method tomorrow night with Jazz and see what happens.
