RTS Legends Megatron - why couldnt they do something like this for a deluxe fig ? the transformation scheme is simply but effective and makes for a good toy. Similar to browning in how he transforms this Megs has good articulation and poseability, only downside is the orange cap.

    Nice!

So, can the MP seekers hold him, as claimed by Hasbro?

How tight is Lugnut's grip on Megatron? Can other CHUG/RTS figures hold Megatron in gun mode? How about movie Leader Prime from TF1?

I will have to check to see who else can hold megs in gun mode but thats one chunky ass handle and I cannot see how an MP seeker or any other fig can grip it, Lugnuts hands are huge and he can only just get a grip on it :)

^ That's the feeling I get looking at the pics. Someone on the Hasbro team said it could be done, but I remain doubtful.

Is it a loose grip? Like if you move the arm, will the gun be prone to falling out?

I think he is held by the MP seekers by Clipping onto their hand, via the two tabs on one side of the handle. (unless those two tabs don't exist and I've just been seeing things)

Easily fixed with some very light sanding and quick hit of primer:

It's actually the two tabs on one side:

And a slot for the thumb on the other:

He looks a little big, but Starscream CAN hold him.

Could you get rid of the grey paint and then dye the orange plastic with some Rite Dye? I think it'd look ok with a black gun barrel, if that's the only color dye that would cover the orange.

Don't see why not, as long as you're willing to knock out the pin holding it on. I considered painting it black, but the primer ended up being the prefect shade of grey. Dark enough that it still looks good as his cannon in bot mode, but light enough that it looked good in gun mode.

I have to say, the tabs to interact with Screamer are a neat feature...but it just does nothing for me personally. :(
