Totally re-reviewing this guy as when I did it the other day I had the flu and it was straight off the card without reading the instructions, I failed!

He is pretty damn awesome, great articulation especially if your not a tool like me and transform the wheels correctly.

The sword is a fantastic accessory and as you can see he is able to give it all manor of He-Man style poses including the classic ''I have the power''

Only downsides (for me personally )

    1) Dont like the head sculpt, it is more Nemesis than regular Prime
    2) Lack of paint apps.

Overall 8/10 and well worth picking up.

Hard to say but judging by the pics he appears a lot more articulated then the original (albeit smaller and trailerless). He kind of looks like he's got a movie aesthetic going on with all the tiny techy details. I'll think I'll still pick him up, and the Nemesis Prime repaint he hopefully gets.

I actually think I would like it more if he got an Ultra Magnus repaint, one that was well done and not so solid white. Also I wonder how this guy might look next to generations cybertronian optimus prime.

The head bothers me, and the overall color scheme. Nice pics though.

Majorly mistransformed. His wheels swing up and push into his legs so they don't stick out so much.

You find the blocky original figure with the simpler transormation, fake chest windows and inferior articulation superior?

I for one like the head, it's the most spectacular Prime head sculpt since BW10th DLX Optimus Primal.

Not bad, but the head sculpt reminds me too much of a knight, rather than G2 Prime and the size looks a bit off on the blocky chest. Otherwise, I'll probably still pick him up.

I want to get this mold, but I think it would look better as Scourge. I already have Car Robots Black Convoy, and the update would be cool but I really don't want to buy this mold twice (if Hasbro even decides to repaint it.) Decisions, decisions

It looks like this was a test to see if they could pull off a Transformers: Prime figure.
With a few tweaks, one could easily make this into a TFP version.

Despite the wonky cab colours, I still think this toy looks ace. That he has a hinge in his wrist so that he can actually point his sword for gesturing/thrusting gives him major plus points in my book.

I like it, although the utter lack of robot mode paint apps really annoys me. Good thing I intend to fix that when I get him.

Also, I hope Reprolabels makes an upgrade set so that something can be easily done about that amazingly stupid color shift between the blue cab and the black truck nose. I know Hasbro was going for a combination of the G2 figure and the Movie flames, but they couldn't have even just gone for a blend of the black into the blue instead?

I like the mold, but i'm waiting to see the united version or waiting for the release of a scourge/ nemesis prime recolor

He lacks the red kneecaps from the hand-painted sample, which kinda sucks, but I don't feel the robot mode deco to be lacking much at all. It directly translates the colour scheme from the original G2 toy, and doesn't feature overly expansive bits of solid colour. It's broken up pretty well with just the plastic layouts.

like the mold, but the size (shoulda-would-coulda been a voyager) and deco are killing me. Might have to wait for the nigh-inevitable Nemesis Prime/Black Convoy/Scourge version...

(really just don't understand his not being a voyager, Hasbro never seems to have a problem selling Voyager Primes and RTS has a pretty small voyager range)

I want to like it, I really do, the original was one of my favorite childhood toys. The legs on this are great, especially with the wheels compressed, but the torso ruins it for me. It's great they managed to have the actual windows as the chest, but the angles just look wrong in my opinion. He looks pudgy with almost no midsection.

Can't agree that the originals articulation is inferior,I find due his size this one has clearance issues at the shoulder and the blocky wheels can get in the way. The head is nice but it just doesn't say prime to me

He was probably slotted as a Deluxe so he could go in either RTS or Generations, if need be.
