Now that I have a decent mp3 player I want some speakers for it.... So should I find a cheap blaster and modify it into functional speakers, or should I make a more modernized version that has a spot for my mp3 to be mounted as well as multimedia card slots that will hold the replacements for the cassettes?
Nice idea, i had the thought of putting my MP3 Player into soundwaves chest to have him as the player, but lack of skill and effort prevailed and i skipped it, i look forward to seeing your finished piece though.
Well Dirge it's looking more like a modernized option. Anyway a Soundwave mod was never one of my choices because soundwave has no speakers.
That's the idea. My mp3 player takes SD cards so it seemed like a natural evolution from the original cassette bots. Should be an interesting challenge.
ive seen an exact same project on the chinese boards. basically, blasters deck window becomes the LCD display, with wires routed thru to leg speakers. simple yet awesome. good luck.
I'd say do something respective of the character, but make it custom. I have an iPod Nano that I use and play music on all the time, and it would be bitchin' to have a transformable Blaster or Soundwave body to go around it.
Just when I thought G1 might win I see modernized take over completely.... Time to start designing the media card bots.
