I had painted and junked my DOTM Ratchet in a misguided attempt to make him into a Generations Brawn. He had his kneecaps cut off, top rack and front grill removed, head removed and gnarled, and he was painted in all black, plus some Brawny-yellow. After I got TR Brawn I decided to junk him but recently have been into movie robots so I decided to restore him as much as possible. I found most of the pieces in my junk drawer and added where I needed to. He still transforms, but as you can see some of his paint didn't completely strip away, and some of it stripped too much. I guess it looks more worn now, which is ok with me.
More pics: Vehicle Mode: Made a new gun for Ratchet too, from a Star Wars pistol and random 5mm chrome piece. I figured the small size made more sense for detailed repair work. The great part is that it also stores out-of-sight in vehicle mode:
