So, I finally got a G1 Sunstreaker. I had one as a kid, but he disappeared with a lot of my G1 stuff. Anyway, he's in pretty good shape, but he does need new stickers and he has some chrome wear. Thanks to Reprolabels the stickers will be taken care of. I am wondering, though, what to do about the chrome wear. The only thing I can think of is some kind of silver model paint. Would that look good? Does anybody have any better suggestions?

For silver or 'chrome' paint to work, a black base coat is needed.

Well, I've used Bare-Metal foil to restore a Sunstreaker of my own actually. It's a bit tricky to work with, but it is self-adhesive, very thin, and of course is actually chrome.
Paint will give you a silver color, but no matter what you use, you'll find it'll look painted, and not chromed.

Lets see, I think I still have some pics here....
