anyone ever resqued a transformer from someone?

this poor laser optimus prime was burned by a friend. i think i was a freshman in high school when i saved him and MANY beastwars toys, (MANY) from what would have been total slagification. all i was able to get was the body, thats all. it was set on fire in his back yard.

if your at all wondering, he does prefer the cons, and all the 1 that were next on the "kindle" list were maximals ...

That's funny, because I once found a g2 laser prime while working at the recycling plant. I used to sort the cans and bottles and stuff there on a conveyor belt, and one of the dudes that worked with me noticed it and grabbed it and gave it to me, cuz I collect Transformers.

I swear I spent so long looking for his trailer to come down the line haha.

So... no love for laser prime eh?

Unless the person doing said correcting is painfully pedantic.

    ^^^Double Post?

Does saving Unicron from the Charity Shop count?
Freind had no room for his Transformers and was told to get rid of them.
    NOT ON MY BALLY WATCH!!!:mad

I had all his figures for a while and he took most of them back bit by bit so he DID technically get rid of them. :p

I got to keep Unicron as his thanks for helping him with his Dilema :D

Man, I wish I could go back in time and rescue a load of TF's from myself!

Air rifles, catapults, explosives, fire, drills, saws. Any tool of destruction with a promise of a spectacular death was employed. I was very much Sid from Toy Story at one point.

My most elaborate execution involved suspending a latex glove filled with methylated spirits above a Transformer (TM Dinobot, if I recall), with a small lit tea candle placed underneath the figure. I then shot said glove with an air rifle, and watched as the liquid poured over the figure and ignited.

Those poor, poor figures! Luckily, I've denounced my evil ways and am much more caring of my transformers these days!

I "rescued" a ROTF Bruticus Maximus set from my cousins son who had grown out of it and was going to donate it. Damn thing was still in good condition too! I ended up giving him a couple bucks for it and immediately grabbed the FP Explorer and Munitioner sets.

I'm in the process of moving. So I'm trying to box up and save everybody.

Thinking about any of them as molten slag is most disturbing.

Some kid left a cyberverse sideswipe on the kids bookshelf at JCpenneys. Abandoned. One of my family members who works there brought it home to me.
The joints were a little loose. But at least he was saved.
