This forum is to submit data to TFW2005 so it can be entered into the Transformers Resources section of the site.

All data will be credited to the person who submits it in our "Contributors" section on each page. We will also credit you from time to time for helping out on our main page.

Please submit a new thread for each character you have data on. So if you have updates for G1 Prime, Bumblebee, and Megatron - Create a new thread for each with the info specific to each character in each one.

When submitting info, please title your threads as close to this as possible:

Character Name - Generation/Line - Type of Data

    Some examples of thread titling:

Optimus Prime - Generation 1 - Parts Information
Ratchet - Transformers Movie - New Images
    Wreck-Gar - Animated - Tech Spec Data

This way, the staff can keep track of what everything is, and what needs to be addressed, added, fixed, etc.

If you would like to submit images for an item in our database, please upload them to a 3rd party image hosting site like Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket or Welcome to Flickr - Photo Sharing or ImageShack® - Image Hosting - and post the links to them inside your new thread. We will then copy them over to our database as attachments.

If you would like to do a review for any figure in the database, please post it in our Feedback Forum - Then come here and let us know you are cool with it being added to the resources area by linking to it.

Other than that, just submit a new thread for each round of information you have. We hope to keep kicking ass with your help in the resources section in 2009!

Here are the areas we need information on. You can submit one piece of data, or all of it, or somewhere in between.

    Question:

I have tons of pictures of my figures that I've used for my reviews (in Spanish). Are those useful for you? Or you only need pics you don't have?

    Here's an example:

Preferably, it would be pics for toys that we don't already have. Although, if you have enough pics for a gallery of a specific toy (or team in the case of combiners), there are plenty of toys that don't have pic galleries that would be useful.

If you would like to contribute to the galleries, use the contact us form here. Pending approval, the gallery can then be linked to the associated toy's resource page.

Also, if there are toys that you've done reviews for that we don't have, you could submit them as well. Just follow Tony's instructions above (English text, please).

If you go with one thread each it will make it easier to find and enter the data later once we start on Takara.

    Good job on Big Convoy!

Question: Would it be a good idea to provide links to their toy galleries where applicable?

For toys that have a image gallery hosted here on TFW, there should already be a link to it on the toy's resource page, just below the "Images" header. See Brawn for an example.

Of course, if you see a toy that has a gallery, but no link to it on the corresponding Resource page, let us know and we can add it.

Keep in mind, we only link to galleries hosted on this site. If you have a gallery you would like to submit to us for a toy (or other images), please follow the instructions here.

My Alt/BT collection is complete. My BTs are misb though. I have the Kiss Player toys that are Alt/BT style (e.g., no cassettes and such).

The Alts look to have most of their content complete. I'm willing to contribute what is needed for the BT line and any gaps that the Alts resources may have. :)

Shouldn't there be like a... Henkei section? I just noticed that it seems to be missing...

    That's be great, SQ7!

Comparison pics between the Alt and BT versions would be great too, especially when there are differences beyond just die-cast vs. plastic. Just post them in the Resource submission forum and one of us will take care of it.

I'm in the process of building a new photobooth area. It may be some time, but I'll see what I can do. I'm so backlogged on photo galleries right now it's not even funny.

I completely understand and don't worry - the entries aren't going anywhere. Just take your time and do what you can. We certainly appreciate any help we can get, and you'll get credit on the entries too! XD

Bit of an old thread to resurrect, but what are the guidelines on figures that are re-packaged and released in later lines? Would any pics of them in their 'new' packing be of any value?

Repacks are basically reissues - you're putting the toy out again after the first run has ended. If you have any images or know about any we have missed please submit away :)

These are the only ones I have, Cybertron Legends Prime in Classics packaging, from 2007:

It has since been brought to my attention that Prime is defective (right leg is unpainted).

I had a question. Do you have any interest in packaging photos? For instance, I have the boxes that held the original 1980s Kabaya bubblegum Combaticon/Battle Gaia model kits. I haven't seen any photos of the boxes those came in anywhere. I did post a few pics on a thread I started a few years ago to find out more about the models:
    http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/trans...ombaticons-g1-kabaya-gum-model-kit-1980s.html

Would pictures of those boxes be of interest, or are you focused more on the figures themselves? (You've got some photos of these models already).

Packaging photos would be amazing if you have them - some nice, sharp images of the fronts and anything else you can do for us would be great. If you can do them on a neutral backdrop, even better - we'll be more than happy to add them into the fold.
