    9.5 on the Bias scale.

    IGN: Resistance 2 Review

Sony and MS can kiss my ass for thinking that I am made of time and money. And the Beta Coop was all levels of fun as hell.

Guess it's time to donate semen.

Yea, the beta's is kick ass but I wanted to try out the 60 player rooms to see what that is going to be like. I think this game for me is going to have to wait until next year. To many other games to get first. I would give the beta an 7 for the co-op part.

I dunno, I got wrapped up with LBP too.

You know... I don't want Resistance to do bad, and I don't want GeArs to do poorly, but it would be nice to see more people focus on LBP and encourage developers to try something new. While Resistance, GeArs, and Killzone are definitely nice and polished FPS and an example of how well the medium can get, they are still FPS at the core, and it would be nice for some Devs to see people choosing something new and clever over FPS and thus trying to invent something new for us to play in.

I didn't play the first Resistance because everything about just seemed like an average FPS, but this one is starting to pique my interests. Combined with a rather sweet Collectors Edition set I just may have to grab this game. :lol

Yes, well the really beef up the main Grunt Chimera's to where you really have to team up on them, and they send waves of them at you, but the missions have a purpose so it's not just Bot Wars, there are objectives, and it's tough, so if you get separated from the team, don't expect to live long.

The yelling in co-op is great. Especially when you get 3 dipshits all yelling at the 1 guy who doesn't have a headset. They seem to think if they get louder he'll some how magically hear them.

Not a FPS, but hardly different enough to warrant calling them different. They control the same, with the exception of the PRESS A cover system. They involve Space Marines fighting aliens.

So my statement was in regards to the entire "Me too" shooter genre that everyone is jumping on, Gears is no less, or more, original.

Finally got to play the beta last night. I was pretty impressed. I had no lag at all on the Co-Op campaign, which was impressive. I still have yet to pick up the original, but that will have to change I guess.

The first game was an awesome system launch title not sure how it would stand up to today's FPS's. If you are not a big online gamer then yes pick it up the story mode is great, don't just get it because the sequal rocks.

Actually the levels in the Chimera's base still hold up to today's standards, and the Chimera's themselves had amazing textures, even by what we see on the screen today.

I'm all about the single player campaign. But I'd want to get ito the story completely before venturing into the second game. I can take or leave the multiplayer. But I have had a much better experience online with the PS3 than I have with my 360.

And the story is not half bad actually (on the first one), minor cliffhanger ending. Nothing hair-pulling, but it does leave you wondering what happens next. And the last levels in the first game were awesome. The first game is coop 2 players, I think.
