Was playing around, experimenting with resins and casting today....got something(s) big in store.

I grabbed a deluxe TFU package and used the outside faction symbol (embossed) Filled it with some 2 part resin, few minutes later - popped it out sprayed it black and quickly dry brushed it. I don't know what I'd use these for, but they are fun and easy to make.

    They are about 1.5 wide x 1.6 tall, quite thin though...about 1/16 "

they'd look nice all over your size customs.

Actually F_R, they would make really cool "Certificate of Authenticity" tokens for your customs! Sign 'em, number 'em and put the name of your custom on 'em! :thumbs2:

Friggin sweet!!! You said you would find a use for those and you did. What resin did you use and where do you buy it? I would assume it isn't something you can just pick up at wal-mart.

And like said before these would be great for Legend bases or maybe worked into some kind of CoA thingy. Maybe print out a certificate and bond it to it.

That's pretty awesome. If there were a way to make bigger ones, I'd love to have a couple to place on my Classics shelf.

Its funny, I had thought about doing this a few times. But like you said, there is almost no use for them. Maybe beside small figure display stands.

Maybe smaller sized ones, like around 1/2" or or 1/4" would be good symbols on custom bots.
That one in your picture does look cool though.

Well, it was ridiculously simple to create.
I cut around the embossed faction symbol on a deluxe packaging (sides) painted a layer of Teflon to keep it from sticking, and poured in my 2-part resin, waited 7-10 minutes and popped it out.
