I know wikipedia isn't the most reliable source, but I'm sure this would have been edited out by now if not true. In the chart on this page, it shows that the first three games, which were released on the PS1, were also released on the PS3? Is this true? I can't find them on eBay because there are a million listings for RE:5. Were these released on PS3? If so, did they have upgraded graphics like what they did when they released them on GameCube?

Their PS1 classics on the Playstaion Store, essentially the same old PS1 games just in digital form.

I'm still not used to the PS store. How much are they on there? I've been scouring eBay for RE:3, since I only have 1 and 2 still in disc form.

    I want to say RE1 is $10, while RE2 & 3 are $6 each, but it's been a long time since I looked.

    Those prices are correct.

Resident Evil 1 is the Directors Cut version, which was originally released just prior to Resident Evil 2.

I would not bother in buying the old games. They are great, no question. But I inserted Resident Evil 1 some months ago, just to see it again and I was shocked, that it was even worse in graphics, than I remembered.

Better try fetching a Gamecube and get Resident Evil Remake and probably Resident Evil Zero.

DC has some awesome mindgames if you've already played vanilla, moving the window dogs to the woodpaneled corridor where the western staircase is made me shat myself more then they did in their regular place. The surprise Hunter in the green coridor really rattled me as well.

They replaced all the music with shitty new stuff in the second release with the dual shock support thougth, I woulden't even entertain playing that.

Theres no way in hell i'd recommend Zero over RE3, its not even remotely as intimidating regurdless of graphics and the inventory system is beyond obnoxious.

Did Director's cut fix the dialogue? Because part of RE1's charm was.. "Wait..... Don't open that door." "But Chris is......(wait 30 seconds)..... "BAM".

    No, thank gawd.

Remake has probably the best voice acting in the franchise, but RE1 just isn't the same without those lines. They are really powerful, especially against living things.

Thanks Yak. Ok, now I'll spend the 10 bucks for this baby and once again become the master of unlocking.

    I know what you mean.

I didn't quite realize what a graphics whore I'd become until I played the first Silent Hill not that long ago. But both RE and Silent Hill are great enough to get through the graphic-uglies.

Oh man, that dialoge was freaking great:

    "Jill sandwich!"

    "Watch out, it's a monster!"

"But Barry, what about you?" "I have this!"*brandishes gun* "Ok, I'll take this than!"

Oh, and I am still waiting for the "updated" remake of RE2...

    "Don't shoot! I'm a human!"

"Whats going on in this town?"

Yeah, RE2 wasn't to grand in the dialogue either heh.

And oi, RE3 still freaks me out, fucking Nemesis.....*CRASH* STARS!

Even with the bad dialogue, I still <3 RE2. Zombie anything practically demands bad dialogue.

I bought Silent Hill some years ago and although the graphics are not up to par, I like the game very much! :)

"Wesker? Where on earth have you been? You disappeared from the hall over a sudden?"
"Sorry, I had my reasons, probably you've met them too, those strange creatures! Anyway it's good to see you save!"

    "Barry, where is Barry?"

"It's blood, hope it isn't Chrisses blood!"

A few years ago, someone made a sound file using voice clips from the game. It involved Jill showering, to Barry, Wesker and Chris entering and...you can imagine it from there, and yes, they used Jill Sandwich.
