I never gave these guys a chance until I watched the opening sequence on youtube. Wow, this is perhaps the best story premise since Furman let us know what Unicron and Primus were all about. TAKE the time to see for yourself.

I was compelled by the human characters. I don't care for the toys (these REALLY are for kids), but the premise for this series, if taken seriously, could be made into a movie or a comic series focusing on the Autobots doing something other than the all consuming war. There was just something about "earning their (human's) respect." And these Autobots know nothing about humanity. Such growth potential there. And Just 4 'Bots (plus Prime and Bee - Meh) which is ripe for character development.

Question: Can a concept for a childrens toy line and cartoon outshine what they have out there for adult fans?

I love Rescue Bots, mostly because it's something other than WAR like every other TF series. The humans aren't bad, but I really adore the bots, and their interactions with the humans. Each bot and person brings something different too. I'm thoroughly enjoying the show so far and keep looking forward to new eps.

I'm enjoying Rescue Bots too. The characters are surprisingly well developed, and the writing is intelligent while still being accessible to small children. Hasbro has obviously put a lot of effort into making a good cartoon for younger kids that can still be enjoyed by us older fans if we're willing to keep an open mind.

Sure, why not? Kid's shows are usually expected to have some sort of quality, but that's not always the case with shows aimed at teenagers or adults. "Mature" in a kid's show is defined as good writing that doesn't talk down to the audience, but "mature" in an adult's show is usually defined as blood and boobs. Lots of G and PG rated movies are much better (and make more money) than a lot of R rated movies for that reason. Childlike doesn't automatically mean poor quality.

I haven't watched it yet because I think it's a lot like Rescue Heroes, which isn't bad but it's not the main show. Prime is.

I'd love to give the show a shot, but I'm away at college and therefore an easily accessible cable TV, and no one seems to post them on youtube, so I'm stuck.
