News Post: Rescue Bots Academy And Another New Transformers Show Coming Soon
So, then, would that mean we'd have THREE TF cartoons running? Or is "Academy" replacing RB?
Two new shows, interesting.
RB is over. Academy seems to be the sequel series, I guess.
I just saw that it had ended. Huh.
I have this strange feeling that the unnamed Transformers series is going to be called just 'Transformers'.
I\'m ok with this.
Is Academy gonna be that web-series they mentioned, or a full-on television broadcast sequel to Rescue Bots?
Hopefully the new show won't be part of Aligned and will actually be interesting.
That would fit modern TF's terrible names for everything.
the web series is titans return (combiner wars sequel)
academy is-apparently-a rescue bots sequel
My Rescue Babies! Yay!
I know it's a tall order but it'd be really great if we could go back to a more mature story-driven transformers cartoon like TF: Prime, a bit more serious and action-packed.
I'm thinking that too. And I'm guessing it will either be tied to the movies OR an official G1 reboot (Hasbro was using G1 art for their investor meetings regarding this series).
I wonder if we'll see either one in 2018. I highly doubt it since they've just started production but who knows? As long as both are as good as Robots in Disguise and Rescue Bots.
Seriously hoping that this new series will be more like Prime, or at the very least a new continuity.
I just looked back at the investor's presentation and if it's G1 related that's cool. The animation doesn't look bad and I think I see Wheeljack next to Bee and OP.
I think I am looking forward to this the most! Perhaps they will include those background Bots from 'I Have Heard the Robots Singing'? I'm so curious about them. And I want a velociraptor Bee; he has a toy, but no screen appearance.
I wouldn't mind something more G1-esque or using G1 as a basis, but I am against straight up reboot. Between G1 and RiD2015 a lot of good things happened with the Transformers and I'd hate to loose all of that.
Edit: I am also curious about that Micronauts series. Hasbro Animated Universe would be my dream come true
One think I forget to mention is the hope that the toyline will have standard size classes.
Isn't every new continuity a reboot?
Ha, ha. Technically, yes
However, I was talking about using G1 as a basic template to start. Think something more like current IDW comics and less like Armada or RID.
I get it.
Wouldn't a toyline of a straight G1 reboot be impossible to market anywhere. Generations already exists after all.
Separate names with a comma.
