We're back after a long break with some truly incredible sticker sets! Justin brings us Upgrade set M40 for Armor Topspin: Reprolabels.com - And Craig has started producing sticker sets for Prime figures: Reprolabels.com - Reprolabels.com - Those of you who liked Mike's work on Warpath will want to check out his Lugnut set: Reprolabels.com - He also brings us more Junkion stickers to go with Junkheap: Reprolabels.com - And Craig continues the Hercules sticker sets: Reprolabels.com -
There seems to be a slight error on the Junkheap page. The link to the "Bot 1" detail only leads to the other bike detail, while "Bike 2" leads to the other robot detail. But both sets look awesome, and has chance would have it I picked up two Junkheaps the other day. Now comes the problem of which sticker set goes on the one that's in bot mode and the one in bike mode (one my my Junkheaps holds better together in bike mode, while the other has a more stable robot mode). I do wish there was a little more variety in licence plates, though, as most of them immediately make me think of various words for poop. Lugnut...oh my GOD. Aside from all the stickers highlighting the missiles (and making that tailpiece missile launcher less of an eyesore when not deployed), all those nice little detail parts such as the caution striping on the back of the engines and the wing...thing vents really make the alt. mode pop. Oh, and Strika...I laughed HARD when I saw that. What an excellent callback to the original Lugnut and his expanded history thanks to the AllSpark Almanac. I'm still on the fence about putting it on my Luggy, but it's still a great feature all the same. I hope the next upgrade set will be for HFTD Highbrow. He's in desperate need of some reprolabel love.
Would like to see some iGear spray and rager stickers (especially rager for the wheel hubs). The figures are cool but I want to deck them out old school (and a few others as well from what I've been reading)
The lugnut set is awesome! The list of reprolabel sets that I need to get keeps getting longer and longer!!
VERY nice! A shame there isn't decals for the NYCC '11 TF Prime exclusives though. That would be pretty badass.
The Lugnut set is nice indeed But I hate the current trend of making G1-style stickers on modern figures, like the Hercules set, the FP Insecticons and some other Classics. The chrome-ish stickers that mimic the same design of the G1 stickers stick out like a sore thumb. Like here on Long Haul/Heavy Labor, the abdomen and feet stickers is what I'm talking about. The rest of the set looks nice though.
Heh. Really? Reprolabels is a fantastic resource to restore old vintage toys with "new" stickers... or to upgrade them to be more show/movie accurate. Check out their site for an eye-full. Sadly doesn't load images on iPhone, tho. Reproduction TF symbols and replacement toy symbols - Reprolabels.com
Reprolabels is a company that produced new stickers for toys. These stickers are used to either replace the ones from the toy that get worn off, or enhance the toy by putting new designs on them. For instance, the new ones they are selling this month add cool details to several Transformers toys like Lugnut, or add Transformers symbols to Heavy Labor, a third party toy that didn't come with any stickers.
I never bought from them before, I never really like putting on stickers, but I really want to buy from these guys. It would really spice up my collection.
I could definitely do without the "dung and Bung" Stickers for the junkions. Other wise I like all that I am seeing in this update.
Ordered Long Haul, the set for Exgraver was awesome and this looks pretty sweet too. I've got Junkyard and Lugnut in storage at the moment, might get their sets later.
I'm not sure if they are still using Avery vinyl, but, as a sign guy myself, I can tell you that their product is actually better than the original because all of their decals are printed onto vinyl and not paper like old school stickers.
I have tried both internet explorer and firefox and have yet to get any one of these pictures to fully load up. I'm letting one sit here to see how long it takes, but it's been a couple minutes, and only a top sliver is showing. Anybody have this problem? R!
