I was sent an email by ebay user duocons about some upcoming releases. Newly mentioned is this guy:

As always, the KO minibots have a card punch right down the center of the card. In the 80's, to compensate for the figure's off center weight, Hasbro off- centered the punch to the right. This way, the figure hung straight when pegged.

Weren't the originals packaged in alt mode too? Maybe I'm just remembering wrong, but I seem to remember Brawn in package as a truck, not a bot.

They were packaged in robot mode, which is why there's a photo of the alt mode on the card.

Ahh, okay. It's been so long. I'm probably confusing them with the keychain reissues.

    Ebay:
The '84 wave had all minibots packaged in alt mode. It was in '85 and '86 that they were packaged in bot mode, with the alt mode pic displayed on the card.

What is the point? Both of the originals are very easy to find at inexpensive prices. Anyways the encore re-issue of Outback is coming soon.

Look pretty good, but farily easy to tell the difference. I'll pass because I've already got Brawn and can probably find Outback somewhere else easy.

That's true, and the Encore version of Outback supposedly has new detailing.

Yeah, I'm never part of the tired 'I hate knock-offs' routine, but in this case, with Encore Outback out in a few weeks, I think these are....well......stupid.

I actually posted this originally (at least about brawn) but one of the mods erased.

    Kinda plain without their stickers.
