Whereas most Henkei/Classics KOs are obviously KOs, I thought I might warn people that some company has started to product replica Henkei toys. They sell for about $30 each. I've seen Crystal Starscream, Thundercracker and Skywarp, and the clear Henkei Mirage and they are IN PACKAGE!

Additionally there is a KO version of Botcon Mirage. Luckily you can tell the original from a KO in that the KO has no rub sign.

Of course for thoe who want these hard-to-get toys and don't mind KOs, it's a real deal.

I'm interested to see the response from the KO crowd since these are not G1 but recent toys that are being replicated.

maybe now ppl will be able to get a TC and maybe even the launcher holes are tighter. for 30 bucks that is not bad.

mike from kotoys, who did not make these, says the quality is really good, just like the real thing if you held one in each hand. but not sure of how the QC is across the board.

Those two mirage KO's are perfect for me..I don't mind buying a KO if it looks like the real thing well enough.

To complete my "CHUG" seeker collection, all I need left is Ramjet, Thundercracker, and Skywarp. That $30 for a KO seems pretty good, considering an authentic Henkei Thundercracker goes for around $200 these days.
Question is, is their quality up to par with their KG1 Mirage and Wheeljack?

I've got a Thundercracker on pre-order. Should hopefully ship Monday. $36 shipped. I sure hope the quality is as good as it is rumoured to be, but even if not, how could I pass on a $36 Thundercracker.

You better hurry. Once they flood the market, your $200 Thundercracker just became $50. If your lucky.

I'm not even sure I'd trust buying a "real" one off ebay. While most sellers are honestly saying they are KOs, I did see one guy selling Henkei Thundercrackers on ebay for $40, claiming they are real, and he's from China. I have to wonder about him.

so very true, like alot of the g1 ko did lower the prices alot on most mib or loose items. but AFA items still retain most of its value except for the g1 prime which has been reissue soooo many times.

From China, it's almost certain. Anyplace else is questionable.
China is heavily known for knock-offs, and it's not just in our hobby either.
    I don't mind buying a knock-off, as long as I know it's a knock-off.

I don't remember how much I paid for Thundercracker.... maybe 80 bucks sealed? So if that day comes, as long as I get my 80 back, its cool. Everything else is just bonus money:thumbs2:

However, the thing with KO's is this.... most of the time, you have to modify or work on them in someway. Even in my review of KO wonderfest Prime, I had to pop out pins, work on loose joints, etc... which gets a bit annoying.

Besides, the KO seeker has seen how many releases now? I bet these things are going to be a floppy mess once you take them out of the Package. Imagine, Henkei Thundercracker but with more problems that can't be fixed with just nail polish:lol .

For those of you that don't own Henkei TC, check the review thread
    http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transformers-feedback/191359-transformers-henkei-skywarp-thundercracker.html

Just a quick rundown of my Henkei TC Problems.

    Floppy wings
Launchers fit loosely into his shoulder (under the wing is fine)
The chest landing gear flips out easy
    loose legs

EDIT: Henkei Thundercracker is the closest thing to a KO Takara has ever released!

I can only imagine what problems the KO will have:eek: .

Reminds me of the movie Multiplicity. When you copy a copy, the copy gets worse and worse. Multiply this a couple of times, and you have yourself a serious piece of crap. LOL!
