Reminds me of the Robot Chicken skit showing the end of TF1. Prime is talking about how bravely Jazz died, with the two halves of Jazz there on the ground. Then Jazz starts talking saying something like, "Hey, I ain't dead! I'm just cut in half. We're robots, man, just solder my *ss back together!" And the whole time, Prime is going on, talking over Jazz, saying how brave Jazz fought, etc. Ha!

well what about jetfire? he ripped out his spark chamber and it was still intact so he could have had a new body but no prime just cared about having a jetpack

Losing your legs mid-thigh=/=being torn in half.

His spark ruptured. We see it spill out of him when Megatron rips him apart.

The UK TF comic did bring Jazz back from the dead but it didn't go as well as hoped and he kinda went a bit evil. It was an interesting take on the character though.

Maybe we could all hope TF4 is a TF zombie movie. Though the UK TF comics did that too with the Decepticons that died in the city battle in the first BayFormers movie not staying down. And Marvel did it way back with City of Fear.

Remember how easily Screamer put his arm back on in ROTF? Probably not too hard to assume Bee did the same in TFTM after the battle was over. Same thing with Prime in DOTM.

No, he desintegrated. It's like pouring acid on anything, the mass "disappears".

The mass doesn't disappear, it converts to a different form of matter that is thermodynamically difficult to reconvert back to the original state.

So in a way, Ironhide rusting away into the wind was just his final transformation.

Well his head was still in one piece at least. And Longhaul could survive as just a head. So we'll have Igor-Ironhide in the next film following Optimus around.

I like Megatron's rebuilt arm that seamingly was made of scraps. I doubt that they're alchemists wo they must be Earth metals.

If they use earth materials, how do they get it to fold/bend/split in the transformation?

Segments, very tiny and complex joints, and some weirdass spacefuture materials processing techniques.

Well 'bee's leg got SLICED off as far as I can remember, so couldn't Rachet just find it and weld it back together and just reconnect the wires???

Some Transformers must have something similar to ball joints, as Starscream was able to reattach his arm by himself, no problem.

Just stumbled upon this, but I remember a thread talking about why Megatron didn't fix his face.
After watching ROTF when his face get shot, his eye and some of the protective armor gets blown away. In DOTM his eye is back with at least some of his jaw armor, so I think its fair to say he was repairing all high priority things like, his eye, arm, and feet, before vanity, his face. Just a thought.

I always thought that Jazz was gonna be any easy one to repair especially with all the allspark fragments just lying around. I was always hopeing that they would use one to bring him back but they never did. He is my favorite so I was really sad and dissapointed that Bay just tossed him under a bus and forgot about him. He only had 6 small lines, and can we all agree that he was better than the twins. He didn't really show any racist stuff that everybody is saying the twins did, he was just...cool, an instant favorite of mine and still is.
