A while back I aquired a Classics Skywarp- that had a broken sholder. The guy who had it before me couldn't fix it. I couldn't fix it. Then I got my hands on an extra Thundercracker, so I robbed a sholder from him. Now, I wasn't even gonna try to match the purple, and at the same time I didn't like it anyway so I painted both sholders black with silver in the panels. Personally, I like this better anyway.
It's a look I prefer. Someone suggested that instead of matching the paint, just re-paint it altogether. Well, that would have been too much work, to achieve a look that I really didn't like. Maybe I de-valued the figure by painting the shoulders different but oh well.
Oh how far we've come. Back in 2007 everyone was saying the opposite. You can't devalue a broken figure . Looks good btw. I might suggest fixing the lower legs where the purple looks oversprayed. I did it myself on a custom. Just add the same black to the front of the shins and leave some of the purple on the rectangleish part. Here's thread for mine http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/361358-another-mid-warp-skywarp.html
