I plan on repainting Sea Spray. What's the best way to get the rotors out?

How are they in the engines?

The engines have spinning rotors in them. The rotors have a pin in them that only has one end visible so they can't be tapped. I've read the pin removal tutorial with the soldering iron but I don't think it will work in this case. Maybe I'll just paint it as is and hope for the best.

I do think the pin removal technique would work with this.
