    WIP Repaint RTS Rodimus.

Okay so we all know the RTS Rodimus has a really bad paint job and when I saw that some one kinda burnt the pipes to give it a good look I thought I could do a little better, so here is my repainted version of Reveal The Shield Rodimus.

For those who wish to do this mod to their rodimus here is the link
    http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/517663-rodimus-canopy-tutorial.html

This item is still a WIP and when I have finished it I will be displaying it with a proper back ground so that you can see it properly.
    Next stages are
Blacking the lines of the car to give it better details
    Targetmaster!

This looks pretty nice! Do you have Protector so we could see how it looks combined?

Sadly no I don't have that armor piece for him as I wasn't really a big fan of it, how ever I did do the mod for him where his canopy opens and I paint the inside of it. Sadly on another note one of the hinges that keeps it together broke and I could not glue it back on but the other is still on it and keeps it safely together, when I get a junker rodimus I will be taking that piece of him and fix it up.

have realised that with that one piece broken I will have to get another RTS rodimus to fix this part up and the good thing is I can get some new paints as well as doing it and also customise it so this guy can have a target master as well. Well I know a lot of people who would disagree there as the classics looked a lot better same with the japanese release, but this one the plastic was just bad in the way it was made. I have never seen the classics or the japanese version of this figure have problems like this and the key in this figure is detail, it has but no real way of showing it in paint so that is what he really needed more then anything.

if you get your hands on the classics or the japanese version, you will straight away notice the difference. http://cdn.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/attach/7/3/6/0/5/HR1_1277356487.jpg

have a look at that and you will see the difference between all 3 of them.

Gawdammit there is a thread on how to modify it but as I recomend reading it properly, I did not and I screwed up hence I need to do another one that or I wait and see if I can get another rodimus but I doubt I will so I will buy another RTS twin pack.

problem is I live in Australia and the only ones on ebay I could find were in America, how ever the postage price to send on out here is more expensive right now then buying the figures in store lol

thanks guys, any advice would be awesome, still doing more details to this guy and then I will have to put some sort of protective spray on the paint so it won't scratch off to badly.

I use a spray matte sealer sold at my local hobby shop. It's with the Citadel stuff, but there's no brand name on it.

Thin layers and sealer make durable paint. Sanding/Filing joints help reduce scraping too.

thanks solarstorm, I will try this out, I love what I have done to this guy and don't want him to scratch or chip the paint away.

gawdammit if you want I have done a tutorial on how I did my new canopy for it so that it works perfectly and has no problems, this time I followed the tutorial that was already on tfw but I improved on it as well.
