Yesterday I met up with Venksta and got my Blue "Gold scout" bumblebee upgrade kit for united Bumblebee. As always the Renderform set comes colour casted in very high quality resin, while also featuring a silver painted face and blue painted eyes. Please keep in mind that the kit I am showing here is the "Pre-Paid, Pre-Order" version so I paid for this kit nearly 5 months ago and subsequent versions will not include all the weapons shown (it is always a worthwhile to order early from renderform)

Included in the package is a 4 piece head (Front,Back,Face,Visor) along with an additional visor piece in solid blue (very small). Five weapons from Three different molds, one of each comes in Goldbug blue to match the head while, One deep translucent blue and One Translucent orange.

As for the quality of the kit, it is what I have come to expect from Venksta, everything is top notch and puts the faceless Chinese company's to shame. I did not have any of the looseness in the head that others have reported, I would suggest they check that the connectors in the head are inserted properly.

Two words of caution. the solid blue visor in my kit was slightly too wide and I was unable to inset it in the helmet DO NOT FORCE IT as it is very small, some light shaving on either side should correct this issue. The other problem I came across had nothing to do with the kit itself, the United bumblebee ball-joint simply would not separate from the head, if this should happen to you I suggest unscrewing the ball joint (located on the black panel under the head) and using a flat head screwdriver to PUSH the ball joint out. reinstall the ball joint and then proceed with head instillation.

Highly recommended, if you can get one. I cant wait to see what toy he fixes next.

Looking forward to receiving mine. United Bumblebee has been headless for a while now, and you're right - that head is a NIGHTMARE to remove. I did exactly the same as you.

The kits are shipping already. :D

All orders for the non-blue kits will all be shipped by Friday. It'll take me a bit longer to finish ship[ing orders with blue kits, as there are still over 200 to make and ship.

Once preorders are finished shipping, the remaining kits in each color's run will be available on Renderform.com. Rough estimate right now is mid to late February.

Nice! I can't wait for the regular orders to go up. Sadly, I wasn't able to get in on early bird orders.

No worries. I actually intended not to make the kits available after preorders. But the demand has been very high, since a ton of people missed both preorder opportunities. And my previous sold out kits have begun selling for over $100 on ebay. So I want to make sure as many people can get it cheap, while I'm willing to make them. :)

Well that's cool, and before I decided to sell my Classics figs the other day to support my TF Prime addiction I would've watched for new orders to go up like a hawk. Now however my United Bumblebee is in my sales thread (shameless plug) looking to be bought by some lucky person with a Goldbug head.

I'm just saying this because it gave me a chuckle not to be a jerk   :
It's been so long since I ordered this I just had to look up my invoice to remember what I ordered so I could figure out when I might get a happy delivery. Turns out I ordered a Blue and a Black set :lol .

Thanks for the great review. I can't wait for my set(s) to arrive!

Lol, thats funny. Actually, you guys that have paid have been really patient with me, while I've ironed out issues to get the kits made. And I'm really thankful, and am glad I offered those bonuses for you guys as well. The only people I've gotten flak from are those that chose not to pay right away. I found it quite interesting. Especially the emails demanding for an update on their non-paid preorder, lol.
