Bludgeon would be a fantastic repaint for this figure. Too bad I ain't got the mad skillz.

That is one of the most rediculous looking Transformers I've ever seen. I'm surprised with the amount of positive feedback this guy is getting. Guess I dont' like Unicron being a freaking scorpion vehicle. Should have been Scorponok or even better Bludgeon like so many have already stated.

 

I think it looks awesome, can't wait.

 

I don't understand that obsession for Bludgeon.

 

When I saw the first pictures for the toy, my first reaction was "that mold would make a good bludgeon toy". The reason so many of us think this way is because it is perfect as an update to Bludgeon. As pointed out, the skeletal face and the horned helmet has a strong resemblane to Bludgeon's pretender shell Skeleton samurai look. Also, like the old bludgeon, it transforms into a tank (more or less). And the two melee weapons are perfectly in character for a metalikato master like Bludgeon.

 

It looks good......but not great.

Will be picking it up as it looks like a decent enough toy but nothing to jump up and down about.

My only complaint, is that his eyes are still red. It should be green, but I don't know of a quick fix to change the color for the light piping.  

 

if you're lucky, the transparent plastic is merely painted, if so you can remove the paint and then mix future floor wax with any green paint to repaint it... if its actually colored plastic, then you won't be able to make it green from red...

 

He's... okay. The chest is kind of a poor design choice.

I still don't know if I want one.

That's why I usually wait to see one in the store. I actually bought the conehead-painted versions of the Star Saber team because they didn't look half-bad up close. The only Mini-Con 2 packs I've bought, too  .

Who knows, maybe I'll like Unicron up close.

 

Actually, the back of the head is red, for the light piping, so I guess I'm SOL.  

I can always take a mold of it, but this would be my first time.  

 

Yep, still just okay. The bulky and sleek parts of the aesthetics just clash too much, and the chest's too big.

It's not terrible by any means though, and worth buying. Might even buy a few, since I consider this to be a Planet X drone rather than a "proper" Unicron.
